TSU will be gone - Astros gave them seed money for a stadium and the land has been secured - just a matter of time
politics cost macgregor park the Astros youth academy which would've been the ideal location -

Another odd location to cram people in
-
Isolated area - why do this
-
So across the street from a large homeless population and a transient medical plaza they want to build a gas station and liquor store - lord help me
they'll complain about loitering from day 1

Why put a baseball field next to the street? Great minds
tsu baseball will be long gone from there by then but outside of them the city doesn't even use the field anymore for other stuff
-
If it's those prose apartments - that ain't good
-
Renovate what's there or bulldoze and rebuild - don't create the same issues by just creating more density with no resources
developers are setting up outside the city limits trying to find loopholes
-
Joe v's would work - alot of H‑E‑B folks have converted over to them

45 wide lots scare me - that screams entry level and folks are paying way too much now for that as if you have no car your useless
-
Where is this multi family demand coming from out this way?
-
That means they'll sit on it forever then
-
Keep pending - you have massive complexes coming up at the beltway and MLK and beltway and wayside plus several off Cullen and the influx of units off 288 and Almeda Genoa - that's not going to help the area
-
Pipe dream honestly bad location no parking, etc
-
Will be a new spot for demolished or closed down former housing projects from what I hear or somewhere off 45 and Scott
-
So Commisioner's don't care apparently

Turned rough - they closed a part down and renovated in the 90s and bulldozed some and made it a garden but still shady especially in the back near haviland park - used to be behind a pizza inn, Burger King, frenchey's, Ron's chicken and a day care
If you can't maintain apartments shouldn't be allowed to build as that can destroy an area
-
Doubt it was westbury - probably this school
https://www.houstonisd.org/domain/6010
it was built in 49 and rebuilt in 1960 -

uh, no offense, but this is just some exurban strip mall development. They're not even trying for a "town center". It's just strip malls and pad sites.
I agree when the city planner is quoted as saying he wanted to create a downtown based off this project since they have a clean slate
obviously that was a pipe dream and it'll be another Pearland looking development

Seafood heavy area plus plenty of competition nearby for that concept
-
Rightfully so - the ones that are there now aren't adding any value to the area - folks walking across to the de facto truck stop and back
there's plenty of inns all up and down south main and another big one opening up on the beltway before gessner

Adios amigos - the issue is the folks who can't come back where do they go?
-
It was hanks seafood after that before closing down - then reopened after first seafood moved from Briargate

Waste of a project - another front motel

I would be mad if I lived on that street
