  1. Thanks for the visual update. It's coming along again slowly after all the bad weather and delays.
  2. Thanks for the visual update. It's coming along again slowly after all the bad weather and delays.
  3. anyone know of a link to a construction cam for the Capitol Tower going up ? I live so far away and depend on you all for updates on these wonderful new buildings downtown. Thanks !
  4. wow, this is really exciting, even if it is "only" going to be 35 floors high. Takes me back to watching the construction cam for 609 Main when it rapidly rose in the last couple of years. Hoping to watch this one similarly soon. Maybe someday, we can watch an awesome supertall rise in Downtown. Talk about exiting to us skyscraper nerds !
  5. the research and economic impact is all that I liked. extreme distaste for the building and the former owner/owners.
  6. and so we say "good riddance" to another bit of history, not necessarily all that great of a history IMHO...
  7. Although it doesn't say how many floors here that I can see, it would seem that these buildings will make quite an impact at over 500' and 600' in height. I'm guessing around 40 to 45 stories ?
  8. Certainly "looks" like something hi-rise and major in the works on this site to me, but alas, probably yet another underground parking lot, or what not and so forth...
  9. ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS SHOT, THANK YOU FOR PUTTING THIS UP FOR US !!!
  10. let's all think "supertall" simultaneously and maybe it will happen ! come on SUPERTALL...
  11. everyone stop acting like a bunch of whining trumpf supporters LOL !!
  12. Okay, thanks so much for the info. I was getting confused again LOL!
  13. on the construction cam still online for this tower: https://app.oxblue.com/open/Hines/609Main , does anyone know what the construction is for ? If you look about halfway up the tower and just to the right in the frame. There is a tall crane with a few floors below under construction. I don't think this is the HSPVA or the Capitol Tower, am I wrong ?
  14. I agree. But, be careful not to speak anything negatively about the orange one here on this forum as they seem to frown on that particular freedom of speech, sadly... Just sayin.
  15. great site. so glad it looks like they might be saving a few gorgeous large trees as well !
  16. yep, looks like a perfect place for that new supertall we've all been wanting for over 30 years now ! hmmm.....
  17. wow, this is so exciting. they are definitely prepping for some sort of tower given the excavation work going on below grade. the question is when ? and how many stories tall ? crossing my fingers and toes !
  18. sorry, not a bit impressed with the architect. designs seem so outdated and downright ugly compared to even the worst eyesores in Houston thus far. I think the skyscrapers we have that have been around since a few decades ago and more recently blow anything away in the dallas "skyline". IMHO.
  19. Thanks for clarifying that for me ! I've been there so many times as a kid. I'll have to go back and visit when I'm in town. I know there is tons to see that has changed in the last few decades.
  20. This is so fascinating and fun ! So, where is HMNS located (and what does it stand for) ? There was nothing in the description to indicate so far.
