    When i was 16 i was a temp at Rainbow(next to tilt, then moved next/close to Electronic Boutique) The Rainbow located next to tilt and the shoe store had a basement to the left, A huge basement but never saw a door for "outside access"

    The mi tienda is a sign of the changes, When it was Albertson's it closed and HEB opened up...A few years later it closed again, i think it closed 2 times under they HEB brand then recently re opened. Does anyone know what the old food town used to be? It does not look like a standard grocery store. PS: Drive behind the Wards and you can see an old sign that says "Merchendise Pick up" the doors still have MW and wards.com on the botton. I went with my mom to a store on richey and it had a curved sign that had painted on letter. Weird.

    Ah i had a friend who went in to "explore" it a few weeks ago.

    Someone somewhere said they were going to redevolp it. Mayor backed it up...Till recently they had bird sounds coming out of the speakers near the trees, The place is still it up. Too depressing. The hospital needs to be demolished, Someone spray painted a picture of a penis on the inside. Mervyns closed, SBC behind the bank is gone too. The mall however get's crowded during the weekend.

    As much as i miss AW, I would like to see a Jillians/Dave and busters type place there. Angel Mciver said final plans were due out on the 1st of aug. I haven't found anything. The "transportation hub" deal they have drawn up is LAME. The traffic lights around the area are poorly timed.

    The armadillo cowboy went to the convention center i think. The new logo sucks i thought it was churchs chicken logo

    Probably an exit for the main screens? AMC 30 on the beltway has exits for the 4 main screens that come out the top(.(If you're sitting up high) You can take the elevator down and the stairs.

    Wow am i the only one that likes going to "small quiet" theaters? These AMC 30 type are overkill too many people. The old "lowes" near 45 and 8 was good, Now it's a 1 dollar theather. I went and spent 7 buxs with a date.(yeah the girl actually wanted to go there. Maybe she thought it was Lowes.)

    Very true there was a big pot hole in the street we live on, we called the city and they show up 1 hour later with some asphalt and a pounding machine. A water main broke at my friends house in Houston, Water dept came in 3 days... Call the cops they are there in less than 10mins, Call the cops in Houston...Let's get BACK on topic, every thread turns into this is better than yours...

    Anyone heard anything new? They replace the lighting when they go dim, and fix the fence when it get's knocked down, Some thugs have snuck in and tagged up the top of the builing.(wish i knew how they got in, I'd love to go in and take pics)

    You're nuts! Roaches are everywhere this time of year. One women told me a story about how roaches would sneak up on her bed and run. Could you imagine if a rat did that!? Good stuff to get rid of them Borid acid. Terminex uses it.

    I'm not letting this thread die. I pass this building once a week. It's still powered and now boarded up with wood(all the ground floor windows.) anyone here anything about it?

    I went to the rodeo and the Astrodome was named "The Hideout" What's the deal with it? It looks dark when i leave work? When i went for cook off i don't think anyone was allowed in. I'm headed back tomorrow.

    Can we really blame the technique of the teacher? No, blame TAAS or whatever it is now...In 2000 we stop about 2 times a class and hear "this is required for the Taas." I passed, graduated and this taas test is where?(how did it benefit me?) What a waste. I'm in college now, i can't believe teachers "hand out" grades...Yes, it's true.

    The parking lot is set(the curbs and medians are ready) It just needs to be paved. The northernmost part has a foundation going now.

    I never went to it but i remember seeing boarded up entrances in 98-99 Gold's Gym looked like it was the only place that was opened. I think Home Depot and Target took it's place.

    Apparently you haven't been to "donerakis..." (It's not cheap and always packed)Pappas isn't cheap either... (same not cheap but packed)BTW HCC is expanding the church on Rustic and 75th is almost leveled. The are is "Starbucks Material though.

    I remember when i was 5 my brother was born there. It had weird green doors with circle type windows...inside.

    Yep, they all have them. We were once supposed to get "Fedex Drop boxes" but it never materialized. They are buidling a FEDEX Kinkos across from the OD on OST and Kirby. I'm not doubting it (almeda is getting deserted)but i'll have to see it first. It's been rumored for years. A CVS/Walgreens would be nice in the area too. Nearest one is on griggs and 75. They're kinda runned down.
