I frequent Midtown and Downtown, it doesn't seem as bad as it used to be. The worst was when it was a free for all under 59 near Fiesta and at Wheeler Station. Even the area under 45 near Hutchins and Pierce has recently been cleared out. Can't forget about the corner of Herman Park that was out of hand till they had the od incident.

If spending around a quarter billion dollars...how about use 30 million to demolish and build a purpose built building with the remaining 220 million. Shoehorning something into out dated sports stadium that will get minimally used is a waste.

I'm always curious what others suggest to do for out of town visitors. Food and drink are my usual go to unless there is an event happening.

Lyric garage and Theater District garage nearby. There is also street parking. I usually take Metro and walk but the few times myself and friends parked wasn't an issue. The people that probably complain the most are people from the suburbs that can't find parking by the entrance. I would like for them to integrate Amtrak terminal with Post. They could have a small office for Amtrak needs and passengers would be potential customers. Removing elevated 45 would open up area currently used for parking.

You're right supposed to be a boutique hotel. I hope not. There is parking in the area if you walk a couple of blocks.

I think the original plan was to convert the "tower" into an office. With the current glut of office space hopefully they turn it into residential.

I've been to Understory a few times. It's like people don't even know that it's open outside of lunch hours. All the other food halls downtown seem to have more people in the evening than Understory. How's the lunch crowd here?

I thought the parking garage is planned to handle all parking for the area once complete.
