  1. They could do a lot with that area if they pedestrianized that street to make it more walkable. Tons of activity already on foot but not very welcoming.
  2. Agreed. The new playground seemed much too small and the structures were not fun at all. The old playground was much more functional. We had high hopes but left disappointed.

  19. I never thought the homeless were that bad downtown, and would normally agree that just telling them no and moving on works well for me. My GF, however, has a much different experience. The homeless just seem more aggressive with her. Even I feel more unsafe when I am walking with her than if I am just by myself. Anyone here saying getting harassed by the homeless is no big deal better check their entitlement if they are male http://www.houstonchronicle.com/news/article/Men-outnumber-women-downtown-3-to-1-6597091.php
  20. I was walking on Main near Barringer Bar and saw a TABC license next door for "The Study." It is in the same building as the Houston photo studio, with the old "Beer Cellar" sign outside. I looked inside but did not see any renovations so far. Looks like a nice place, terrazzo floors and a elevated portion in the back.
