It would be great if Captial Tower can attract a non-energy company. This downturn providesa great opportunity to solidify diversity in other industries (tech, fianance, insurance, biotech, telecommunications, international trade, etc).

MST will add nicely to our skyline; hopefully when the market stabilizes a developer will actually build a 85-100 story tower with a public sky deck that rivals Willis (Sears) Tower in Chicago or 1 World Trade Center (Freedom Tower) in NYC. Houston deserves it.

GreenStreet has so much potential. I hope all the new residential development, the hotel, improvements to Dallas St Can drive increased pedestrian traffic. I would love to see the day when GreenStreet is fully leased.

I agree the retail issue in downtown Houston must be addressed in a major way. Hopefully the Dallas St initiative fills the void. Houston is the 4th largest city in the United States, but when compared to the New York, LA, Chicago or even Philadelphia's downtown retail scene, it's lacking.

I don't have an issue with expanding aquarium downtown but what Houston really needs is a major downtown tourist attraction like Space Needle in Seattle or Willis Tower in Chicago or Effiel tower in Paris. Also, Market Square/ historic region can be build to the level of the Strand in Galveston and area around Toyota Center can be entertainment region like LA live in Los Angeles (by Staples Center). Walkable, pedestrian destinations.

The area is coming together nicely. It would be great if the opposite side of Main begins to develop.

Here's an 'out of the box' idea for Houston: why not start attracting Biotech firms from high business tax locations, such as San Francisco, San Diego and Boston? With the largest medical center in the world, there is no excuse why Houston is not the Biotech capital. Also, how about vastly expanding Tech sector in general. There's no reason Austin and Dallas should attract most of these companies in Texas. Rather than sit around and wait for oil prices to rebound, Houston should become proactive with expanding within other sectors to fill office space.
