  1. There should be a small tunnel system here. The Ion already has an underground floor or two. Might as well continue the trend with future developments.
  2. I’m not a fan of putting a school here, but there are two scholar right near Minute Maid and Toyota Center. Incarnate and HSPVA. If this ends up being a Shipra Montessori, then it’s not all bad. Maybe they can contribute good architecture.
  3. El Expresso bus station - For Sale: https://www.har.com/homedetail/2201-main-st-houston-tx-77002/2947689
  4. Allied build multifamily. This will be a good addition.
  5. Literally said the same thing further up πŸ˜€πŸ˜‚
  6. This has got to be multifamily or a hotel I don't know what else would make sense right there.
  7. New housing development on Commonwealth: https://www.owaisdevelopments.com/commonwealth-park
  8. This may be old. I believe that project fell through a few years ago.
  9. Greyhound company acquired by Flixbus. Maybe they have big plans. https://techcrunch.com/2021/10/21/germanys-flixmobility-acquires-greyhound-lines-the-iconic-u-s-bus-company-in-78m-deal/?tpcc=tcplusfacebook&fbclid=IwAR1UusDPKOkKpvBaN-hvmv2MW_tCN_E02MtwUoBJh7mloJEmufse0IJHQ_M
  10. Got an impromptu tour of this place. The delays have been due to design changes apparently, but they are hoping to be open within a month. This place is going to be packed with bbq lovers, if the kitchen equipment is indicative of their skill set to smoke and grill.

  12. New pics on their brochure I believe: https://www.lovettcommercial.com/Pdf.aspx?id=333
  13. Houston's innovation ecosystem is only going to succeed if it's propelled forward by founder and startup teams, rather than government, academia, and individuals that don't understand what it really takes to build a technology.
  14. I was thinking the same thing re: a TopGolf concept, but on the SE part of downtown. It would have spanned 3 empty blocks. This was year ago, btw.
  15. Any idea of what is happening to the blocks East and West of this? The block immediately East is owned by the catholic church and is listed for sale. The block west has a house on it, currently occupied by the EaDo Management District. The rest of that block is empty. Hoping someone has some insight.
  16. Was thinking food trucks mainly because of the area. Hutchins and St. E are turning into pedestrian friendly streets with more and more developments.
  17. I didn't see anything but parking lot on the original plans.
  18. I lived at the apartments across from the site for about a year. While it's close to a lot of things, access to the site is a little tricky coming from EaDo or Downtown. Navigation is a one lane underpass from Chartres and Runnels is often slow due to the train. I think this site would be best suited for another apartment complex. GFR would work here since there is a lot going on in the area. I think the best place for an HEB would be is off Leeland where Reece Supply (2606 Bell St, Houston, TX 77003) currently sits. It would be great for EaDo, Eastwood, and Third Ward. Thoughts?
  19. Always loved this building! It would make for a great whiskey bar.
  20. Looks like this site has been divided up. One is sold, one is pending, and one for sale: https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/0-Ennis-St-Houston-TX/17291853/
