I was wrong about the date of the pharmacy closing, might have mixed it up with Specs closing. Date for the closure of the pharmacy is 2pm Dec. 30th. Sales on some products.

Rode the early portion of my ride to chase an easy Bike Tag find, coolest ride this winter so far. Found the Tag and hustled to a new mural by Nicky Davis in Timbergrove. Whole time worrying if someone going to beat me because I'm going so far before I post my find. Ride back home to post my new Bike Tag and then hop back on the bike for some more miles. Tag I had to find, easy find in Greenway Plaza. My Bike Tag, (some one found it quickly, probably on Nicky Davis' social media like me)

Chainlink fencing over the railroad tracks is almost done for the northern tracks. Still need to do the tracks by the McKee housing and the tracks that run under UHD.

At downtown’s Market Square Park, Mihalic’s more Pop-art like “Meander” hugs the earth with a series of cast-concrete and resin sculptures whose noodly form mimics the meandering shape of nearby Buffalo Bayou. One of Mihalic’s pieces is bench height, but all three double as play structures for kids who might also be inclined to jump around her rubber lawn of big blue polka dots. It’s all handmade, says Mihalic, “but the resin is the crown jewel.” Iridescent pigments in the urethane resin shimmer like water, sometimes looking frozen. At night, lights inside the structures amp up the effects. Some of the lines carved into the resin are based on the outline of Houston’s original City Hall, which long ago occupied this plot of land. Mihalic chose the material for its light-capturing qualities, its color stability and its durability. “It’s actually harder than the concrete,” she says, “but it’s a material that hasn’t been used much in public art.” https://preview.houstonchronicle.com/art-exhibits/new-public-art-in-houston-brings-cheer-to-a-15803408

I don't see any rebar sticking up on the northeast side of the top, they might have reached the pinnacle on that side.

3 different things are being built here, big one with the 2 tower cranes is the new addition to the medical building, second one with the shorter tower crane looks like a utilities addition and the one on the north side I'm not sure what it is.

It's working now. Edit: I spoke too soon. Imgur is acting weird just like HAIF is, you can load several pics but when you think they're loaded a pop up says "error try again" but I can still use those pics.

I've tied 3 times to upload pics today but their website seems to be down, might be related to the Christmas holiday.

Just went to my Kroger to stock on a few things before they close early for Christmas Eve and saw lots of bare shelves in preparation for their permanent closing, I was under the impression they would close mid January but I think it's going to very soon. Pharmacy operations are closing on the 26th and being transferred to the W. Gray store.

Rode toady and I'm still looking for a Bike Tag, I've looked in the Museum District, parts of Midtown, parts of Montrose and in the 1st Ward but still no luck. I think I've seen this Ivy covered building but can't place where in my mind. Oh well I still got some miles and took some construction pics.

I've been wanting to take a pic of this mural forever but there were always cars blocking it, not today, Yea for me. New one at Jamail Skate Park.
