  1. Any pictures? I passed by and saw it slightly, but I guess it looks different at night time. I say anything is better than that Crazyhorse Cantina. It can't look worse than this place. Or does it? I must say that Grasshopper looks very professionally done.
  2. I already mentioned this project, but nobody had news on it. http://www.houstonarchitecture.info/haif/i...p?showtopic=669
  3. I hear that they are trying to make downtown more upbeat with more midrises taking over the parking lots. It is all part of the Framwork 2025 Plan. If they want to get things done more quickly, why didn't they put this development and other developments like this going around town in the CBD.
  4. First condo development for Suagr Land Town Square is complete. http://cityplazatownsquare.com/
  5. Oh my goodness. I don't really care for the duck pond, but the water wall. That would be horrible.
  6. So far, so good. When were these pics taken? I am guessing you were there during work hours, evn though there is not a pedestrian in sight. That damn tunnel. Again, great pics.
  7. OK. When are you going to show the rest of your pics Montrose? You're teasing us here.
  8. More than likely they probably will. Do you see the location of the lofts? West of the Manhattan lofts.
  9. Does anybody have anything about the 30 story condominium going up in the Medical Center area, caled 1900 Holcomb? I am so anxious to find out more on this building. You wont believe how hard it is to find information on this project. I do know that the developers are Whiteco Residential, the same company that built Dominion on Post Oak. Please, does somebody have anymore info?
  10. Here is another smaller rendering for Point Center. Why so different than the first pic?
  11. Does anybody have any information or updates on the Club Quarters Hotel and the 2nd Renaissance hotel in Houston that will be located in downtown?
  12. Hurry up Houston and get this done. I cannot stand the site of that old Days Inn building.
  13. Is anybody aware of this, or are these people just trying to get in the Haloween spirit? Spaghetti Warehouse - Houston Named Nation's 6th Scariest Haunted Spot By Citysearch Thursday October 28, 10:28 am ET HOUSTON, Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Citysearch names Houston's Spaghetti Warehouse, one of the nation's scariest haunted spots. Celebrate Halloween with Spaghetti Warehouse and its ghostly, uninvited guests. "We have had many sightings of ghostly activity," said David Wierman, president of Spaghetti Warehouse. "The building used to be an old produce warehouse, and we are aware that several of their employees died in the back elevator shaft. The rumor is that the families of these men spend their days looking for the men." "There is activity happening daily, for example someone hears their name being called, yet no one is there," adds Sandra McMasters, the General Manager of Spaghetti Warehouse. "Often the elevator lights will flicker, objects move without any logical reason, and employees see a ghost like lady in a white gown throughout the restaurant all the time. It is also believed that many spirits are present due to the various antiques that adorn our restaurant. I am a believer!" The Spaghetti Warehouse is located at Commerce and Travis in downtown Houston, and offers haunted tours. An array of antiques, roadside advertising signs, a real trolley car, stained glass windows and tiffany-style lamps create the environment. The restaurant generates its appeal via a collection of authentic memorabilia and furnishings collected from domestic and foreign sources. In over 20 years, the Spaghetti Warehouse has served millions of customers, and helped the residents of Houston celebrate countless momentous occasions including Halloween! Guests are invited to take a haunted tour. Call for details. Spaghetti Warehouse operations are managed by Consolidated Restaurant Operations, Inc. (CRO, Inc.) of Dallas, Texas. The restaurant is located at 901 Commerce Street in downtown Houston.
  14. Just look at the new ones going up. The Edge, Collective on Baldwin Park, Point at Midtown. I don't know if the new Camden will have ground retail.
  15. I think midtown knows how to do ground level retailing better than downtown. It seems like all the midrises going up in that area will have it.
  16. I found this great video on KPRC http://www.click2houston.com/family/3833917/detail.html#
  17. 720 Fannin. The old Texas State Hotel building.
  18. Yeah, and what they sell is the sportswear. It is kind of like Ralph Lauren, all you see is the cheap spotswear in stores like Foley's or Dillard's, but you don't get to see the apparel that can be compared to designers such as Gucci or Prada. The same can be said about Sean John, and I think this is what his new stores are more focused on.
  19. Houston had the first Dolce and Gabbana store in the country. I don not know why it dissapeared. Personally I think it would have longevity in Houston today.
