  1. Atleast they are serious about the project and are updating the renderings. The last time, they were talking about the Toyota Center was proposed now they actually have the Hilton Americas in the rendering and light rail. The location is also awesome, not sprawly like some of these awesome developments happening 10 miles away from downtown or in the suburbs. lol. This is happening right next door to Main Street Square across from the Courtyard by Marriott. Hope this gets off the ground. This is the exact same thing as the one in Denver.

  2. I have to agree with some that LTAWACS says. It seems like developers never get the point around here, and then they never realize why the city never gets a good rep. There are so many developments that could have changed the face of the city if they were more centralized, but people who do not appreciate urbanism would never know this.

  3. Sorry, if I am too lazy to check out the place myself, but I saw a commercial on it a while back and the area looked kind of nice, or maybe they were just sugar coating it. From the commercial, I saw more of a pedetrian oriented retail district, rather than a strip mall with oversized parking lots like Uptown Park(which I might add had so much potential if they had built it in an urban design). What exactly does Town & Country Village look like? If you have any pics, that would be great too.

  4. That tells you how old it is.  At around the same time there was another multi-block retail area proposed near the ballpark called "E-Square" (we're talking the late 1990s here  ).  This idea was probably dreamed up as a counter-proposal to see if there was sufficient interest in the market.  In either case, there apparently wasn't.  The large amount of development that was expected to occur in east downtown after construction of MMP just never took off.

    Sounds reasonable to believe

  5. If we are not including midtown, others are Sabinne Street Lofts and Humble Tower. I've seriously thuoght about moving to Sabine Street or Lfts at the Ballpark, because you get a lot for your money. Ballpark seems a little isolated though.

Here are some pics. These are properties to rent.
