    I spoke to the owner (really cool guy) in July and if I recall correctly he said is stepping back and letting his partner (not sure if he’s a new partner) take over. From what I remember he’s doing some Latin/Pakistan fusion here. This could all be out of date info by now but that’s what he told me at the time.

    I’m just being bitter, y’all. The idea of cheese and wine, and the word upscale being in Montrose is still something I’m not accustomed to.

    Bummer. Upscale huh? I liked the vibe of goodnight Charlie’s when it was open and was hoping for something casual here. This along with the wine and cheese place next door pisses me off .. O well.

    I never knew this was once a coffee shop. Looking at the pics it looked like my type of spot! I could be way off base but the interior had a NY coffee shop vibe off of the pics that I’ve seen. Has anyone visited it before?

    On a related note (can’t find proper thread) I believe the FM Kitchen location on Westheimer in Montrose has closed. Their website no longer mentions this location and when I drove by it was closed with a sign on the door.

    The building is not bad at all. It is one of the older donut style apartments so the hallways are a little worn but when i moved in the unit itself was very clean with fresh paint. They’re currently renovating the club rooms (needed) and recently painted the main gym & are adding bigger TVs. The pool water always looks clean and they seem quick to fix things if it’s brought to their attention. As far as the tenants it seems to be a 50/50 mix of folks in their 20s and 30 and up. My neighbors are relatively quiet but the walls are kinda thin with these newer builds. It’s always luck of the draw when it comes to your neighbors. There are definitely newer better apts in the area but I moved in at a bargain and like you said the location is great. Any specific questions lmk. If you’re looking into moving we can split the referral 🤑

    It’s been there for as long as I remember after the renovation. It’s a nice sign though so thanks for the pic.

    Haha not their 6th street vibe but Austin’s patio scene. Also, tbf…I haven’t been to Austin in over 5 years so take that with a grain of salt.

    I just drove through this little 2 block stretch today and I had no idea it was this cool/developed, and I’m on HIAF daily 🤷🏻‍♂️. The bars have an Austin vibe to it to me.
