    Frank Lloyd Wright would agree with TBooze on the Williams Tower. The Gulf Building is awesome. The Esperson complex is my personal favorite. But if I were going to vote for a "masterpiece" ("masterpiece" being one of those words that invites skepticism) I'd say the Penzoil Place.

    I know a lot of people like the new design but for me this is the ultimate Hotel Alessandra. In fact, it's more Alessandra than Alessandra.

    I'm sure you've seen it and it doesn't come through in the pictures but it's impressively vast and empty.

    I'm wondering, all engineers, architects, industry, and engineer-adjacent people. How the hell do you "value" engineer something that's 800 feet tall? It seems like whatever materials you chose you're going to have to engineer the hell out of them. (Unpopular opinion: I wasn't all that crazy about the offset sections.)

    This is really one of the more interesting towers in all of the Houston metro. The architect was a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. This is really terrible.

    Nothing like knocking down a mansion to build something across from an empty parking lot.
