  1. Ugh! Now Dallas and Austin will have taller buildings than us.
  2. The best thing about this photo is the soon to be hidden Cosmopolitan.
  3. I have never heard of that street. I need to drive by! I think the apartments next door use it to access their garage, so I can't imagine it being abandoned.

  5. I am sure this is somewhere on the going up, but I couldn't find it. Does anyone know how tall the new complex will be? I would guess Avalon Diner will be next to go.
  6. Great news for that part of Westheimer. On a side note, someone I know got their car broken into while at Good Night Charlies when parked on Ralph. Too bad people don't just work for a living rather than steal! I hope there is enough parking for all of this. Very nice concept, and the developer has a great eye for detail.
  7. Too bad The Wilshire wasn't about 10 stories taller. It would have looked better instead of the stair stepping down in height between these 3 buildings. Meanwhile, the lady in red is saying "I'm late for my shift to Target!"
  8. Whatever is built on this land will likely block the views of the galleria skyline from all 3 of those buildings.
  9. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.houstonpublicmedia.org/articles/news/transportation/2018/06/01/288149/work-starts-on-billion-dollar-project-to-replace-houston-ship-channel-toll-bridge/amp/ This may not be the right place for this, but how nice to have a bridge with design elements. It should be able to be seen from near downtown.
  10. Well, where the RR tracks are now was pasture at one time. Needs change and the tracks need to be addressed. Lowering them would be best.
  11. I was in Dallas recently and they certainly have this type of development down pat. Plus the park over the freeway Is incredible. It’s a remarkable time to live in Houston as we watch our city densify.
  12. They can sue all they want for blocking their views but they won’t be successful. Every building blocks (or changes) someone’s view.
  13. I meant odd in a good way as Williams has stood tall and proud, yet alone for 30+ years.
  14. This makes me so happy! He certainly has the $$$ to do it. It will be so odd to see something this tall close to the Williams Tower! Exciting!
  15. A hotel would be great! Of course, LaColombe D'or will have a some hotel space in their new tower. The views from this corner would be incredible.
  16. There is no hope. RD has Vegas taste. He is always able to sell them though. The most disappointing one to me is his Cosmopolitan. Ugly color and squatty. He should have put a spire or something on top. It ruins the view of Post Oak from the south. Hopefully Hanover's (or whoever is building where Ninfas and ATT were) will completely block it.
  17. Off the topic, but I don't see a thread anywhere. How tall of a building do you think Hines will do on the corner of D'Amico and Waugh across form Whole Foods. We all know Hines doesn't mess around.
  18. Thank you. I'm sure @Houston19514 knew exactly what I meant. Maybe in Beaumont TCB tower would be considered super tall. We haven't had a signature high rise since the 80's, and certainly no super tall like Chicago is getting.
  19. I think it is crazy that we don't have a super tall. We have been stuck with a 75 story as the tallest since 1983. That's crazy.
  20. Could that ramp look more tired? Geez. Get some paint or powerwash it. It's not Sharpstown!
