  1. Articles mentions space is 3,600 sq ft. That is the approx size of the spot next to the coffee shop along Fannin.
  2. I do not disagree with you on the overall project. However, the two story lobby into the tunnels appears to be turning into something unlike anything else downtown.
  3. The chain link portions seem to be temporary opposed to the other fencing. My hope is the gates for each side had to be specially fabricated and are simply delayed.
  4. Do we have any more or updated renderings for this? There is now extensive work being done on the ground floor.
  5. Fence was down on 3 out 4 sides this morning. Will try to grab a pic on the way home. Thought it looked nice and we are just continuing to build that downtown fabric.
  6. Add 10 stories and build it next to OPP downtown as condos orr lot behind the Marriott. Not going to be picky.

  8. same, turning into such a prime lot. My dream development is a mixed use building with central market/modern furniture store on first floor and apartments above.
  9. So when I-45 is rerouted this one goes away for two reasons? No longer on an Interstate and not really business viable?
  10. Would be perfect! No need to even extend the light rail. Natural extension of the properties they already own and invest in the medical center.... Wait, never mind. That would make too much sense, ignore my comment.
  11. Not to mention 1825 has the rooftop pool facing downtown. I'm just glad we have moved from "should I move downtown?" to "where in downtown should i move to?"
  12. Skyscraper Page has 2929 at 162.5M and Huntingdon at 153.3M. Which one is right?
  13. That would make it the tallest in Houston, correct? Tallest now is 2929 Wesleyan at 533 ft ?
  14. From the little knowledge I have it's all of the above. I would think it varies by real estate value and the structure. Point in fact, NYC just demolished 3 "historic" buildings to build One Vanderbilt and JPM plans to demolish their 50's style tower to build a more substantial modern tower. Other buildings, especially the turn of the century examples, have been office, hotel, residential, to now boutique hotels. I stayed in such a building just this year.
  15. I didn't realize hot takes were published and thought of as great and informative journalism...wait. All sarcasm aside, I think it would be great to see where all of this space is. For example, how much of the available office space in in the vacated office buildings around Greenspoint? That space will probably be available for a long time. How much of the space is in the energy corridor? etc. There is a reason more buildings are being built downtown/centrally. That is where young people and now even older generations want to be. Even if they are not going to work in the CBD.
  16. FYI the dog park is up and running within two weeks of the flood that “ruined” the dog park. Buffalo bayou posted pics of dogs already making use of the lake/pool and running around. Guess no one is going to post that on reddit though and say how wrong they were but I digress. Cheers to our awesome park!
  17. Your right, my bad. What happens when you do quick math in your head. 800 ft would be approx 243 m. I was just too eager to kick a Dallas building out of the top 5 lol
  18. Wow, Hines Global headquarters are moving downtown. If that is not a sign of the winds changing for downtown, I am not sure what is.
