  1. Can his posts also just be banned moing forward to save us all the trouble? Seeking unbridled adulation is not the same as other members that are trying to add to the site with pictures, information, and even heated deates at times. Been on HAIF for over a decade and can't recall another member acting in such a childish manner.
  2. Looks like this got a fresh scrub. Imagine it was for the Houston Open?
  3. https://www.houstonpublicmedia.org/articles/news/houston/2023/09/06/461609/houstons-memorial-and-buffalo-bayou-parks-to-be-connected-by-forthcoming-trail/ Anyone have any further update on the proposed connection betwwen BBP and Memorial Park?
  4. Seems like a big property for a single high rise. Is most of the property prone to flooding?
  5. I think something like McGregor Square next to Coors Field in Denver would be the perfect addition. public space ✅ hotel ✅ bars/restaurants ✅ condos (we would prob get apartments) ✅ https://www.mcgregorsquare.com/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=gbp_listing
  6. Unsure of the driving force but the speculation was correct. Building is coming down this morning.
  7. It appears this has hit another gear. A lot more glass than I remember and people working on a Saturday.
  8. The whole block is now fenced off. It appears heavy machinery is also on site along Fannin St. Is demolition imminent?
  9. 100% agree with this. This area needs improved connectivity and a road/trail combo would go a long way to solving this issue.
  10. Agreed and further to that point, we have the following Marriott hotels/flags in downtown. Marquis Westin (near Minute Maid) Magnolia Le Meridien Aloft Icon Moxy (about to open) AC JW The Laura Courtyard Springhill Suites Residence Inn
  11. Any more movement on this rail line going away?
  12. It seemed fairly busy every time I saw it open. I wonder what caused the closure.
  13. This has been fenced off now. Anyone have details of positive development? Or is it just to keep the homeless and vagrants out?
  14. Build it! Any idea where in Midtown this would or could go?
  15. "Commissioned in 1914 as the most powerful weapon in the world" Awesome image!
  16. @JClark54 posted below ono the hardy extension thread. This may be a dumb question but how active is this section of rail? Not may warehouses I can think off that need immediate rail access. I've seen the proposals to extend this trail along the rail corridor but has there even been any discussions or proposals to eliminate the rail line all together? Seem like pretty handy way to bring memorial park and uptown into the bayou greenways system.
