    I imagine there is a LOT of work to be done on the inside. http://arch-ive.org/archive/texaco/ I saw a webpage or video or something a couple years ago where someone went inside the building and took a bunch of pictures but I'm having trouble tracking it down.

    Yes, it's clearly a film on the windows. They're making good progress building out the lower stories and putting in insulation and windows. I hope they'll put in some sort of restaurant or bar on one of the upper floors, but I'd be surprised if they do.

    Update (or lack thereof): Ground still hasn't been broken, although it looks like they moved some of the equipment related to the construction next door off of the land.

    A rendering would be nice - I'm hoping they will spruce up the outside. The colors are dull the way it is now.

    They've started to add glass cladding, at least to the west side that I could see this morning. Will try to put up pictures later.

    Is the facade on that building hiding something or is it just ugly?

    Update. The picture doesn't really do the size of the project justice.

    They're starting to build out the interior walls on the lower levels but I haven't seen any sign of putting in glass cladding yet.

    Gargantuan project. If I remember right, the northeast corner is also being reserved for a potential high rise.

    At least for the one at Shepherd and Westheimer, I've never seen more than one register open and I've never seen more than a handful of people in the store. Not sure how it has stayed in business.

    The Huntington exists. The other one on the far left is currently under construction and should be finished soon.

    Thanks. I was close to putting in an offer on one of the Perry homes this week that's near the park but backed away due to roof issues that came up in the disclosures. I really wish there was something free-standing and affordable around there so I could be responsible for my own walls and roof. There's still a huge empty lot on the west side of Baldwin Park. I'm shocked they haven't dropped some town homes in yet.
