I feel after the Superbowl visitors will see how a Global city we are and have a different view of Houston. That empty lot we need a tall observation tower. Why does Seattle have the Space Needle?

Had to fly Southwest (WN) very impressed with Hobby Airport. They should rename Hobby International Airport. I don't like the boarding process and their flights are always late. It is good they give you free drinks when they are late. This month 56% of their flights are one time. United is at 71% with 5,000 flights a day. The flight attendants were irritating one whistles through the flight. Then they ask you to move for a free drink so a family can sit together. I love United if my flight is delayed they send a text on the APP with my new flights.

Chevron Tower For Downtown At 1600 Louisiana St.
nativehoustonion replied to tangledwoods's topic in Going Up!
Chevron received tax abatements from the COH and the state. Then laid off employees and never built the tower. They should use the lot with a monument of a oil rig.- 1,170 replies

The World Almanac states 2929 Weslayan 533 feet and the Huntington is 503 feet. I think Emporis has the correct facts.- 1,892 replies

I believe it is a nice direction. Does anybody remember the movie "Logan's Run"? That is what uptown needs those pods that take your all over the district. And can be built over the streets. We are space city so do something! With all the highrises going up the traffic will just get worse.

Why is the Trinity River so ugly? Why cant they make it into a nice park as Houston did with Buffalo Bayou? What is wrong with the city leaders? I view the map with all those midrise buildings but there should be a nice park in the area.
