  1. ^^^ despite the very often repeated dialogue from the "usual suspects" regarding austin's supposedly forthcoming "office glut", this magnificent city is proving to be resilient to downtown construction stoppage during this burgeoning decade. austin, tx, is starting to bloom like a beautiful RED ROSE. this city's momentum seems to know no bounds. forget the naysayers/usual suspects... GO AUSTIN GO!
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RclqsuLXlo ^^^ for those of you HAIFERS that have very often felt as though you are constantly being PUNKED by the MCNAIR INTEREST GROUP... well, it's (FRIDAY) in our fair city of houston, tx, and (SUPER BOWL weekend). therefore, i have decided to invite you to just LET IT FLOW... directly into one of the very smooth grooves of "HERE WE GO AGAIN" by the WORLD RENOWNED ISLEY BROTHERS. just click upon the provided link above... and just lose yourself into a world of LOVE... RHYTHM... and pure SOUL. i mean, it's the very least that i can do... right? i'm tired of being PUNKED by this group. therefore, let's just do this. please enjoy your weekend...
  3. ^^^ ATX... always building... always booming. HOOK'EM!
  4. ^^^ @hindesky @Brooklyn173 simply OUTSTANDING job gentlemen! ROCK ON...
  5. "rethink" "reevaluate" "redo" "restart" ^^^ however you want to characterize it. it's time to bring this BAD BOY back up to (80 stories) because anything less is simply unacceptable.
  6. ^^^ props to you @bobruss for the generous and insightful update on AUBERGE HOTELS. yes, i am a bit knowledgeable regarding this particular remarkable hotel brand. upon this past football season, i harbored the spectacular experience of lodging at the COMMODORE PERRY HOTEL AUSTIN, TX, during a TEXAS LONGHORNS football weekend. (what an utterly MAGNIFICENT experience at this renowned boutique hotel) trust me, i shall be returning upon next season's football slate. additionally, i for one, cannot wait to see the start of the construction of HOUSTON'S very own AUBERGE BRAND HOTEL at the prospective RO development. as i have openly stated upon several posts upon the HAIF forum, "our fair city of HOUSTON deserves to harbor genuine luxury hotels". we have all certainly waited long enough. oh, and by the way, "KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON" was an absolute MASTERCLASS of cinema if i have ever witnessed one. i can't wait to watch it again...
  7. ^^^ this monumental development is nothing short of absolutely spectacular. i just cannot seem to stop gazing at these generous illustrations. austin, tx, should be sooooooo proud. props @Urbannizer
  8. ^^^ did you say "MCNAIR"...? oh my gosh, we're being punked! how many times have we witnessed this very same scenario? development in the queue that NEVER comes to fruition. why do they keep playing these games with us...?
  9. ^^^ everything here is ooohhhhh so posh. seems as though no stone is left unturned...
  10. ^^^ oh really? well, can you please be so very kind as to point out the... SLAVES OF LAS VEGAS? we're waiting...
  11. ^^^ first of all, it is quite evident that you do not know much about DUBAI, UAE. however, I DO. (since the city and surrounding emirates were like a second home to me for numerous years... during my time working throughout the country and theater of afghanistan respectively.) however, please allow for me to suggest that you not spend such an exorbitant time of your life upon HAIF trying in earnest to constantly CONTRADICT others... and actually get out a bit more. also, i have included my original posting for your reading convenience and comprehension. please note: i have never stated that all animated fountains do not ever require maintenance. my argument was with the TIMING of this require maintenance. the city of houston has known for a considerable amount of TIME, that we were hosting the 2024 CFG and subsequent entertainment weekend. additionally, i have noticed that you have so eloquently stated about the "MARKETING IDENTITY for casinos and the like" well, don't you think that the city of houston, as well as our sumptuous DOWNTOWN MAIN STREET, needs to market itself accordingly with OPERABLE street fountains? lastly, i cannot help but be so very "THRILLED" that you are hereby so very "THRILLED" that i have been to dubai, uae, and las vegas. however, judging from your constant contradicting posts and the such, somehow, i guess that i have always known that you @Houston19514 are the consummate, unadulterated... THRILL SEEKER...
  12. ^^^ animated fountains - las vegas ^^^ animated fountains - dubai, uae ^^^ yet, in other cities like DUBAI and LAS VEGAS and so on, "animated fountains" seem to harbor no issues staying operable throughout. trust me, i have personally witnessed these particular and remarkable fetes of mankind many times... especially in dubai, uae. therefore, i'm just not interested in the "EXCUSES" for houston's non-viability with basically the same instruments and technology. something is REALLY wrong here...
  13. ^^^ you mean to tell me that city officials "CLOSED" down such a gorgeous fountain for maintenance... while downtown is loading up with fans and visitors from out of state for the CFP championship game? why on earth, wasn't this taken care of beforehand? my goodness houston!
  14. ^^^ my goodness. is it just me, or does it suddenly seem as though downtown austin, tx, is starting the new year off with a SERIOUS BANG in brand-new construction projects? wow!
  15. ^^^ this is ALL SOOOOOO VERY SURREAL, that it almost seems as though we are all being punked. every time that i view a newer update, i cannot believe it. NO WAY!
  16. ^^^ started at HBU and later transferred the TEXAS. sooooo you are hereby correct...
  17. ^^^ throughout this very busy holiday season, i have been patiently awaiting these latest illustrations of these ongoing monumental construction projects throughout downtown austin, tx. in my view, the scale and scope of these projects in downtown austin, are beyond amazing. I SIMPLY CANNOT BELIEVE IT! nonetheless, THANK YOU @Urbannizer for your constant and very generous updates. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
  18. ^^^ @bobruss sir, i guess that at this all-important point, I SEEM TO BE A BIT PERPLEXED. however, may you PLEASE do me the honor of presenting me with a quote of ME stating that our fair city of houston "has nothing going for it like dallas and austin"? trust me, i'm waiting. well, that's exactly what i thought... NOTHING. anyone who TRULY knows me, is UBER aware that i have ALWAYS been a PROUD houstonian ever since i moved here back in the early eighties... right out of high school and into college. if you only knew of the countless moments of me ESPOUSING/BRAGGING about houston when i was living and working abroad... you would be stunned. I HAD TO BE ONE OF OUR CITY'S BIGGEST CHEERLEADERS. nonetheless, many people that i have harbored the pleasure and honor of meeting overseas had never heard of houston, tx., but you had best believe that they somehow knew about "austin and dallas, tx". somehow, i think that you may be getting the narrative on my views of our city's sudden lack of progressiveness a bit twisted. since you have taken the liberty of eloquently mentioning "dallas" beforehand, i have just spent this past christmas holiday in the city of dallas. subsequently, i journeyed up to DURANT, OK, and visited the CHOCTAW NATION CASINO and RESORT illustrated above. my time up there was... SIMPLY AMAZING. the hotel/resort stay was... OFF THE CHARTS MAGNIFICENT. please trust me, my cool pal, i am a very frequent world traveler. therefore, whenever i speak of our fair city's lack of MAGNIFICENT hospitality venues for the size of our city, it's because I FULLY THINK THAT WE DESERVE the very same respect that both dallas and austin acquire from the overall hospitality industry. i do not care what anyone states regarding my views, or just how anyone cares to spin my views, HOUSTON DESERVES TO HAVE MUCH BETTER...
  19. ^^^ well, why can't aTm just construct this tower as initially expected? they are ALWAYS bragging/claiming to the masses that care to listen, that "they are LOADED with MONEY/CAPITAL". what on earth, is really going on here?
  20. ^^^ my goodness, what a gorgeous overall design. this is starting to resemble a very posh park directly in front of the bayou. it seems to be more sumptuous and detailed than the early renderings. well done @hindesky for these cool illustrations...
  21. ^^^ @Highrise Tower what those shocking imbeciles did to that poor innocent steer was absolutely unconscionable, unacceptable, and heinous. they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. however, this will NEVER EVER change the fact the TEXAS LONGHORNS are now the 2023 BIG XII CHAMPIONS! also, we are now on our way to the CFP PLAYOFFS/CHAMPIONSHIPS. HOOK'EM!
