    I hope the restaurant isn't built in a suburban style. Is Crave the same restaurant as the one in Austin?

    That rendering is a building in San Antonio on San Pedro Avenue just north of 410 and North Star Mall And yes, it was built in the 80's.

    Faulknerusa has built some ugly building (Austin Hilton and San Antonio Hyatt) lately. If they do do this one, I hope it's a better design.

    Weren't we fairly recently told that a convention hotel at the Astrodome wouldn't work, because it would hurt the Hilton Americas. But now a convention hotel downtown would be good? Could this just be the City of Houston and Harris County a fussin' and a fuedin'?

    What does the A. D. stand for? I emailed some of the people on their website, but I got no response.

    If I had half a billion dollars to through around, I'd buy it. Then I'd turn the top couple of floors into my home. But that's just pie in sky.

    WOW! Take it down a notch. I simply commented on the posts that I see as OVERLY critical. Like the building is just not 'good enough' for Houston for whatever reason (roof or not glass or 'too 80's'). It's just a building. Most people don't and won't ever care. I personally like it. Flat roofs are so prolific in Houston that a few peaked roofs would be nice. And it is an architecture forum, and I'm participating in the criticism of architecture.
