  1. I was born on June 13, 1972 in Houston Texas and I was born and raised in Houston Texas. I went to Judd M. Lewis Elementary School or is it Judd Lewis Elementary School during my childhood. I am wondering if any of my school mates are around? I am curious in learning what has happened to them. What happened to Brandon Carpenter, Eric (do not know his last name?)(I know that he had a sister named Nova)(he was beaten up so badly that he got his leg broken, I believe?), and Clayton (I believe his last name was Cox?)? I used to have a friend name Dawn (forgot her last name?) too? What has happened to all the people that attended school with me during my years at Judd M. Lewis Elementary or is it Judd Lewis Elementary? My friend Clayton traveled to Florida with my grandmother (my grandmother adopted me) and my two aunts and we went to Disney World when we were going to Judd Lewis Elementary School or is it Judd M. Lewis Elementary School. My friend Eric wanted my grandmother to adopt him always and he also gave me a kiss on my cheek on my Birthday (we were at Pipe Organ Pizza). ~Juliet Shohreh Nour~
  2. I remember when I was a little girl during the 1970s and the 1980s I used to go to a barbecue place on the end of the shopping strip on Boardway going toward Hobby Airport and going away from I-45. It was on the end where the Glenbrook Valley Area is. Does anyone remember the name of the restaurant? This place bring back GREAT memories! ~Juliet Shohreh Nour~
  3. No, this was during the 1970s! I do not believe it was The Gap. It was a large department store in The Gulfgate Mall, and I think was a Foley's, Dillard's, or something like that. The wooden thing that had the blue jeans hanging was like a gabza (do not know how to spell it, sorry). I meant 'Gazebo' not 'Gabza' sorry. I meant that the wooden platform was like a gazebo which they hung blue jeans in. I found that design so neat, and it really fit in the 1970s style. I miss it! Does anyone here remember that store? It wasn't The Gap! That was for sure! It was a higher class department store. Like I said before it was probably Foley's or Dillard's (or something like that).
  4. I remember one of the department stores in The Gulfgate Mall having a made of wood place where they hung blue jeans. I remember thinking how cool it was. It was during the 1970s. It really looked 70s style too. It kind of reminded me of something that came out of a television series or sitcom from the 1970s. I wish that was still there in The Gulfgate Mall. So many memories are not there anymore, how sad!
  5. I remember my grandfather (my mother's stepfather) used to take me to the Burger King in that area. We used to spend a lot of time there, and he would let me play on the children playground at Burger King too.
  6. I remember that awesome round swing set! Young children like swinging high and kicking the ball with their feet. I mean in Queen Park. Young children like climbing up the swing set too. I remember the fort too. Children like climbing inside and outside of the fort too. Queen Park didn't have a lot of children play stations but it I didn't care because I was spending the time with my grandfather (my mother's stepfather). But Queen Park had not enough children activities. Just a few things for children to play on. But you have to remember that I love spending time with my grandfather (my mother's stepfather).
  7. Subjects Queen Park Shadow Meadows Lanes - Bowling Alley The Grocery Store By Queen Park The Burger King in the Queen Park and Shadow Meadow Lane Area I remember my grandfather (my mother's stepfather) taking me to Queen Park, the grocery by the Queen Park, Shadow Meadows Lanes, and the Burger King in the same area. I believe these were located in the Pearland or Pasadena Area. Does anyone remember these places?
  8. I am curious! Does anyone remember the original fast food restaurant that was in The Galleria parking lot? It had a chuck wagon look and feel. The building is still standing in The Galleria parking lot in the same location.
  9. Yes, I believe it was Farrell's. And I remember the menus, too.
  10. I remember going to The Houston Galleria when I was a child during the 1970s and I took ice skating lessons there too during the 1970s and the 1980s. I remember they played disco music and other types of music and they had psychedic light which shined on the ice skating rink during the night time hours, it was so fun! I miss those days! I remember going to a restaurant at The Houston Galleria which was like a melt shop or ice cream shop and the waiters and waitresses would wear red and white large stripes hats and uniforms. They also had a gift shop which you walked through before you left the restaurant. It's now long gone!
  11. I lived with my grandparents (on my mother's side) until I turned 38 (around 38)(2010). She lived in the same house until she died. My grandmother bought the house about 1967 or so. I was born on June 13, 1972. Her house was on Simms Bayou and her first flood was on my 1st. Birthday.
  12. My grandmother's (my mother's grandmother's) house was about 5 minutes away from Hobby Airport. My grandmother's (my grandmother's mother's) house was off Broadway in the Santa Ena (pardon my spelling) neighborhoods.
  13. I remember the hill that the Gulfgate Movie Theatre sat on. I remember running and walking up and down that hill, and I remember the parking lot too. And walking down to the street level of the Gulfgate Movie Theatre. My mother didn't drive, so on one ocassion (or is it occassion?) one night we walk down to the street (below and under the freeway or highway I mean I-45) to catch a ride with my aunts and my grandmother. I remember in 1975 (I believe it was 1975) my grandfather (my mother's stepfather) parked in the parking lot to see the movie Witch Mountain with Kim Richards and Eddie Albert.
