Farrago does pretty awesome business. I always see it full, especially on weekends.

I emailed the author to find out if the Alamo CEO had specifically mentioned it and he apparently hadn't (although he hadn't been asked, so no indication either way). You may notice I want an Alamo Drafthouse next to me. LOVE peeing during movies. But for real.

Did the Randall's employee who was forced to play tag with a bum holding a knife the other day not have Jesus in his life? I got scared the other day when a pissing bum yelled at me that he would kill me, but that was because I didn't want to have bum aids in my life. That is one of the worst kinds of aids.

I was at a breakfast where Campo was the speaker. He said that mixed use is not in Camden's strategy in Houston. He said it didn't work in Houston and they had no plans to try. This was a little over a year ago though.

The Byrd.

She really should have done midtown or memorial heights while waiting. No big deal though. I went to Okra on Friday night. It was awesome.

I did go to that Macy's today to figure out if I was going to want any big ticket items once the closeout sale starts. No joke, 100% truth, as I walked up I had to jump over the spreading puddle of piss from a homeless guy directly across the street peeing behind a planter. This was 2 hours ago. 12:30. On Main Street in the middle of rush hour.

I never said they needed to axe him. I consider Shaub as right about the middle of the road in the league, maybe higher. He would be in my 12 - 16 range in terms if his ranking. That isn't great but can be enough with a great defense and running game. Both of those facets have fallen this year and it exposes his flaws. That said, top 10 quarterbacks are hard to come by. Top 5 is nearly impossible to get. I think we are stuck with him until we develop someone else or get lucky with a great-timed terrible season.

Shaub has been uneven lately as well. If we are talking about lately, throw Cam and Russell Wilson up in front of him.

I was referring to Lockmat's linked pdf. May is early...ish. I would love to see it open significantly earlier though.

The pdf says that completion would be early 2016. Just in time to have the Final Four as the first event.

With the construction of the new FB stadium going on at the same time as the light rail, they decided to hold off on closing Cullen. They also plan to do significant renovations to Hofheinz soon, so that could hold it off as well. I would think that the earliest that they will close Cullen would be 2016. If that were the case, we would only have 3 or 4 more years of wear and tear on that street with heavy construction vehicles running down it. Should be in really great shape by that time.

Sundance is great. Still hoping that we can get this Alamo Drafthouse as well.

False. " The Sterling Mansion was built by Frank P. Sterling in 1925. It was donated to the Museum of Fine Arts in 1948, but was then sold to Gus Wortham in 1951. Lyndall Wortham bequeathed the house to the University of Houstonon her death in July 1980 to be used as a residence for the University President. This building is now named Wortham House. - 3612 Parkwood, Houston, TX 77021" - Wikipedia

One Park Place is a rental tower, so it still does sound like ~500 feet is a good estimate.

Nancy mentioned that this should be the tallest residential tower in Houston. This may have been based solely off of the # of stories, but I suspect she got that tidbit from the developer. 502 feet? Either way, 500 feet will LOOK much taller in this location than 1PP does.
