That place was right next it was a convince store that use to sell cheap bags of ice family use to drive from Willow Meadows to get ice. Across the street the use to be a Nursery that sold plant now it is the baseball field for Westbury little league which like 3 miles away a little weird. On the North end of Craighead Where Richmond rugs is no there use to be a Firestore tires there it closed some time in the late 90s. -

My dad moved to Westbury South in 1964 I will ask him if he remembers this place The hours on the add have got to be a misprint only open for 1 or 2 hrs no restaurant would have those hours -

At one end there use to be a convince store that sold big bags of ice for cheap my family use to drive the 1 mile to go there it closed in like 1998 to like 2002. There other end use to be a bar do not anything about it it was the last place to close.- 1 reply

There use to be a electronics store that use to sell mostly CB Radios I saw at ad for it online years ago at was at the corner of Bissonnet at Beechnut it closed in like 1985. There use to be a electronics repair store Hillcroft at Braseheather around the corner in the same strip shopping center as Happy Lamp it closed in like 2005. I took something get repaired there it was $$$ to get the item fixed.

I remember this place I use to live right down the street in Willow Meadows it was really small only like 2.5 to 4 acres they hardly ever anybody there by the early 2000s Walmart was built. There was small golf course at Willow Bend and Stella Link also never anybody there it closed like the early to mid 90s- 3 replies

Strip shopping center on Willowbend just east of the rail roads tracks was torn down at the end of last summer town homes will be built in its place. Strip center next to Auto Zone West Bellfort and Chimneyt Rock was torn down early last yr a fitness center will be built in its place I do not know how they have enough room for the building and the parking lot. -
Wyatt's South Post Oak and West Bellfort closed like 15 to 18 yrs ago I remember going there about 7 to 10 time there was another one that was at OST and Griggs that closed like 2 to 4 yrs ago

The lady that left Annies opend Cues 1993 to 1995 South Post Oak & MC Dermed right next to the Chinese Buffet across the freeway from Whataburger and Kroger. Cues has much better food than Annies which has gone down hill in the last 5 to 7 yrs -
If you look at Google street view it is just a darinage ditch that is most likely 3 yrs old max

The Record Rack At 3109 South Shepherd Dr.

Record Rack it is now a smoke shop I think. That use to be the best place to get records in the late 90s I got so many good deals there. In the early 2000s it was sold and the new owner tried to turn it into a rap hiphop vinyl record store that did not last a yr. -

There use to a siren horn on Cliffwood right across from Red Elementary next to the neighborhood pool where the private school is now. The siren horn would go off ever Friday at 12pm for testing this was for a warning if we ever when to war with Russia when Russia broke up in to small countries in about 1998 to 2001 this siren horn was taken down I think this is what you were hearing. The siren horn was on top of a 65ft to 100ft telephone pole -

I remember there to use to be a Mcdonalds on Stella Link just south of south Brasewood it was the only one for like 2 or 3 miles when it closed it turned it into a Specs the building was torn down like 3 or 4 yrs ago Across the street the from the Mcdonalds next the Shipleys use to be a Pizza Hut at the time it might have been the only one where you could go in and sit down now it is Wild Kitchen they might have the best burgers & fish n chips in town
