  1. Ok I was thinking I had gone crazy because all of you were talking about it and it was mentioned on SSP, but I could never find it. Was it really that bad? DId anyone save the pic?
  2. If this is the right store, they sell womens activewear. http://www.lucy.com/ We are going to have alot of clothing stores when this place is built.
  3. How is naming it SoDo helping the neighborhood? It is just a stupid rip off NY. Also Midtown is already a new name.
  4. Hmm, well this thread is on Pavillions so... Perhaps he works for a company involved and he can't give any more information than that.
  5. They didn't respond to me either. I guess they just ignored it. To busy trying to be "original"
  6. As red and nmain said what do you mean by this?? Its not like they are shipping all of the looters to Houston.
  7. Zoning doesn't stop freeways or sprawl by the way. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but once you get out of the zoning the city cannot have zoning regulations there. With zoning that area would likely be nothing more than a mall, and the original neighborhoods. Zoning would not have allowed 901 foot tall towers to be built in the area. Also regarding signs. Our own no zone downtown has a ban on signs over a certain height. Only a couple government funded or historical buildings have gotten away with having high signage. The other exception is continental and they only were allowed that because they took up a majority of the building and it is only lights.
  8. You have to be kidding me, "one of the most grotesque pieces of architecture ever built anywhere". I mean it wasn't the prettiest building in the world, but I kind of liked it. Different strokes for different folks I guess. I have to admit though I am not a fan of alot of Wright's work. There is some I like though.
  9. If anyone cares on channel 16 (TWC) I believe they are talking to the city council about Pavillions.
  10. That is why I said "in" I figured there was something at the golf course, but it is not like the DT park where there are places truly in the park. But then again people will probably be going into the park, compared to Memorial where alot is thick forest. Many people do not go in, but rather stick to the jogging trails. Or they go to the areas that have benches or a trail and stuff.
  11. Good news except for... And I thought SoHo was NY not HoDo.
  12. I don't think so. At least not really "in" the park. Memorial has always like more of a nature preserve than a standard urban park to me.
  13. Cool renderings. I had not seen these before. They are pretty close up and detailed compared to the older renderings. But they do appear to be of the old design.
  14. Another example of one we don't get, but we have thousands of employees is Shell, they are not even an American company though (plus HQ is in the Hague I think) so it isn't on fortune 500.
  15. http://www.houstonarchitecture.info/haif/i...opic=2486&st=50
  16. Yes, it seems by that there will be a few entrances from the street and then the shops may be inside. But it may be different in reality.
  17. They added some more renderings to the philips dev. site. Also mosaic has a site which I don't think has been posted yet. http://www.mosaichouston.com/
  18. Just wondering did your wife see anything else on the sign? LIke a rendering or any info? Or did it just say Urban Lofts coming soon, or something like that? I will try to head over there in a few days.
  19. Duplicate. http://www.houstonarchitecture.info/haif/i...wtopic=2454&hl= And I think that info is wrong. It is like 34 stories and 45,000 square feet of retail.
  20. It will probably fill the skyline in a little bit, but it won't change it most likely.
  21. Hmm I didn't see that, I will look for it in a sec. So is it now going to be on four blocks? Is that what you are saying?
