    I am SO GLAD this is happening! I don't live anywhere near Memorial City Mall but occassionally I go there and when something that makes the city look more beautiful I am all for it! I am just glad its not (as someone said "another box Store") I mean walkways, businesses, retails, a city within a city (kinda like Bellaire) this is EXCITING! It could have been the other way around and the area could have gone downhill. If they improve Westwood areas/Sharpstown I am all up for that too. After all look at West Oaks mall. It WAS pathetic and more and more shoppers are going there because the mall is beautiful (even though more and more stores can't afford the rent) We have some more upper class stores in there now. Taco Cabana is leaving West Oaks and now enters "Dairy Queen", Carlton cards is gone but here comes another "oh great" -sarcastically saying- clothes store. Kay-bee is now gone as well (I don't know what is in its place) Look at the area around West Oaks and its developed too. Instead of seeing something to front upon, look at the good side of it and see that it increased jobs, it makes that area even more beautiful and more places to go shop! People around Memorial (well some people) have money and will be happy to spend it in the memorial city area.

    Shamrock Hotel. My grandfather (who was a PR) opened up the Shamrock on opening night with all the greats of their time!! So it kinda has special meaning to me. "Peppermint place" I only remember an indoor carasouel!

    easier question. Why are there two synagogues with the same name in this area? That's what I am more confused about.

    On top of that usually I can find CUTE funny hilarious HOLIDAY Cards because my friends ALL do NOT celebrate Christmas! and well Walmart/Target left me UNIMPRESSED! Even Hallmark doesn't have a big selection. Where do I have to go for Holiday cards? I am trying to send out gifts/cards as soon as possible so it can get to my friends on time. I think this year I am going to Randalls for the Holiday Cards that the M.D. Anderson kids drew/painted. Much better looking and money goes to chairty.

    NOW we're starting to suck again! its horrible! What did BAGWELL DO ON BASE?! He tried to steal 2nd or 3rd with Beltran already on???? WTF?! oh man its a nightmare watching these guys! If I wanted drama I'd watch the Lifetime network! If I wanted comedy I'd turn to Comedy Central. C'mon this is the playoffs not a run of the mill game! Go back to embarrassing us AFTER the season! What do they care? They got money even FOR playing badly!

(btw, my brother called a St.Louis radio station and told them he shouted out for his hometown boys the Astros and the radio station DJ talked shi* with him (back and forth playing around) My brother had the number on redial and the DJ said "your caller #4" (my brother almost accidently WON tickets to the St.Louis/Astros game! LOL!!!!!) NA NA NA...NA NA NA..HEY HEY HEY GOOOOOOOODBYE!!!!

    I hate such a negative attitude out of you people! Its sickening! I can't wait for the Braves to get their butts whooped so we can all laugh at them too (and I mean yes I know Clemmons is sick but give him a break he's ONLY human) and I heard about Ken Caminanti (sp??) passing away so that will affect the team (or make them stronger) since he had many friends on the Astro's team. The Braves MAY be a better ballteam but in my opinion their attitude and fans attitude suck

    I am laughing at what the Atlanta/Dallas guy said about us losing! I mean his little snide/snotty comment! Any predictations today people? I sayyyy that its going to be late lead Astros, Atlanta looks to grab it, Astros come from behind and a 10th inning game.

    I know this sounds bad on a board but that wasn't very nice. Here's the stupid thing about the braves ..that stupid Tomahawk thing they do. Yea yea we know your the "Braaaves" and you feel it does some sort of influence on your rivals. I am SO GLAD Native Americans got mad at the Braves for doing this!
