  1. Today
  2. This project, now called Aspire A&M, has secured construction financing. Hopefully some movement starts soon. I'll be keeping an eye out for it on my next trip through College Station. https://www.multihousingnews.com/harrison-street-jv-lands-loan-for-texas-student-housing/
  3. Architect - https://mcshouston.com
  4. The Norhill area? A lot of that is already historic districts and/or deed restricted.
  5. ^^^ slow... lethargic... snail's pace... turtle's pace... constipation mode... geriatric's pace... slow motion... freeze frame... ketchup in a bottle's pace... you know, the very standard for houston city officials never getting things done unlike other big cities within our great state. It's nowhere near ROCKET SCIENCE...
  6. Sounds like the 1960's. "If you remember it, you weren't there."
  7. Gotta love them (presumably) actually listening to some feedback. It would really dampen that part of the hike and bike trail if there was suddenly a big parking lot to your left
  8. I'm thinking a shaded waiting area with swings ( like the car wash at Montrose and Dallas) might be nice😃 Maybe a way to clean, vacuum, windex out my car🧐 uhmmmm WiFi maybe, with plug ins to recharge my phone😍 ooooow one of those fancy Japanese (or Swedish) food and drink machines?😁 a tiny free little library up on a pole?🥳
  9. McCarthy Building Cos. to leave Greenway Plaza for Galleria area - Houston Business Journal (bizjournals.com) "St. Louis-based McCarthy Building Cos. is preparing to leave its current office at 3800 Buffalo Speedway after signing a lease for 38,230 square feet of office space at 2200 Post Oak near The Galleria mall. McCarthy, which is building local projects such as the Ismaili Center in the United States, has officed at 3800 Buffalo Speedway since 2016."
  10. I can see the images…had problems about a month ago but the issue corrected itself…
  11. Because this is a thread about a building in Austin? Why would he ask about the vacancy rates in Chicago?
  12. Thanks for posting this. Before I open a new topic I always perform a search to see if one already exists. I did this recently with Hollywood Cemetery. Nothing came up on search so I opened a new topic. Within an hour a mod merged my post with an existing topic. I thought I was going crazy. The “archived” issue explains it. Thanks!
  13. Well, good news for HAIF, at the current pace, this season will end a month earlier than last….
  14. It seems that one thing our Major League Baseball and football teams have in common is their owners are not very good on the development end. I also think Crane made a terrible mistake in getting rid of his G.M> All the guy did was got them to the A.L. Championship series. I know their pitching has had problems but it now seems there is a lot of turmoil on the team. No love. If it aint broke don't fix it. Is Abreu getting ready for social security? I bet this affects their plans for moving forward on their village plans.
  15. The newest renderings on www.theswiftbldg.com show about 90 fewer parking spots fronting the trail
  16. Big day for IAH news I guess, as KHOU had this article up today reporting that the combined processing area for Terminals D and E is expected to be open in the winter. https://www.khou.com/article/news/local/bush-airport-international-terminal/285-e90cf4de-d81e-46c3-8a11-a2248ccff6f0
  17. ARTECHOUSE will be opening a location here. I've personally met artists working on the project and they told me the tentative opening date is sometime in September. Their website already has job listings for the new location. https://www.artechouse.com/jobs/
  18. I think it is kind of interesting that Shell is planning on adding new EV charging stations instead of retrofitting existing gas stations to have both. Will be interesting to see if they build any type of retail component with these.
  19. I think we all thought we were getting a "Baseball Village" similar to the ones surrounding the ball park in other MLB cities.
  20. I saw that he plans to start at the end of the '24 season. "Astros unveil planned entertainment district outside MMP November 12th, 2023 Giles Kibbe, Astros senior vice president and general counsel, said the team hopes to break ground following next season." https://www.mlb.com/news/astros-entertainment-district-minute-maid-park
  21. Last time Crane said anything about this, he said we'd see plans late last 2023. Since then we've only see a half-ass rendering.
  22. I wonder if Frontier will use the A3 gates now? I think Frontier has briefly moved to using some D gates as they have expanded quite a bit recently at IAH.
