Love your bike and ready to have even more fun? Join us for anevening of Bikepacking- where you enjoy an overnight or longer from yourbike. Even though Bikepacking is rather new to the outdoor adventurerepertoire of most, it has been around for years. It has seen lotsof growth in recent years, possibly due to the ever-decreasing weight and sizeof gear. It is now possible to put everything you need on your bike, perhaps afew things on your back, and head off for a night or two on single tracktrails. With panniers or a trailer the night or two can stretch to a week oreven a summer.
Speaker: Kelly Howard. Kelly is new to bikepacking and looking forwardto her first extended weekend on the trails with her bike over Memorial weekendin Arkansas. As the owner of Bayou City Outdoors, Kelly loves to introduce Houstonian's tonew and fun adventures.

We'll be on the patio if the weather is good or all over the insideif the weather doesn't cooperate!

We have several Farmer Markets right here in themiddle of the city, which bring in local organic produce, cheese, meats, jams,bread, prepared foods and crafts, several days each week!. Bring your (virtual)backpack, and let's plan a route to shop the markets on our bikes! There willbe descriptions of the various markets, handouts to help you navigate the marketcalendars and a couple of maps to get you around the city on your bike or bycar.
Not only will you learn the market secrets, you will also get a chanceto meet some of the people who have put Houstonon the map with our Farmer Markets. From one little co-op 10 years ago,to over 10 markets around the city and in the outlying countryside, Houston isTexas' top city for Farmer Markets!!
