Is it creation, is it destruction? Is it about the images or the words? Is it as inspirational as is it disheartening? These are the questions Houston artist DUAL evokes with his latest installation entitled: Iconoclasticllay Yours.
With an endless array of surfaces DUAL utilizes his urban surroundings as mediums for his work. Waking up everyday in the concrete jungle provides him with an endless supply of blank canvas, inspiration, influence & persistence to push his aesthetics throughout the city. Via concrete, paper, monitors, wood, canvas, and beyond, he translates his everyday existence into amazing works of art, stopping the viewer and provoking emotion (whether good or bad).
DUAL is born from our present period, in a time when both virtue and variety beckon us to humor each other when daring to explore untested water with one another.
