30N 60S: Latin American Architecture Revisited
Latin American economies, politics, and society have undergone a transformation in the last decade. After years of economic turmoil and violence, the majority of the continent has entered a period of prosperity and social stability. The Argentinean and Mexican economies are back. Chile continues to be a bastion of stability. And Colombia is now safe. Furthermore, development along the US-Mexico border is astounding. Architecture is flourishing as a result, and a generation of mostly American-trained architects is receiving an unprecedented opportunity to show their talent. This series will explore the current boom of Latin American architecture.
