The Strand Theatre will participate in the largest theater collaboration in U.S. History, Suzan-Lori Parks' 365 Days/365 Plays.
In November 2002, Pulitzer prize-winner Suzan-Lori Parks sat down and committed to writing a play a day for the next 365 days. The world premiere of this play cycle will be performed as a yearlong national festival simultaneously in major cities and communities around the country.

Fall is the season of festivals and Galveston Island's wealth of cultural heritage is evident in the bounty of ethnic events offered. The 25th Annual Greek Festival, October 12, 13 & 14, offers a most authentic experience.
Greek Americans celebrate a proud heritage and rejoice in sharing their culture at the Greek Festival. All are welcome, and everyone is encouraged to be Greek for the weekend!
