This is the same color brick that is used in most of the telephone offices and switch buildings around the state of Texas. Seems like SWB's trademark color.

This is crazy, ran across this and it really brought back old memories for me too. I too worked there in early 70's on the frame, Steve, Rusty, Betty, Janice, there was a bunch of us. So many fond memories, miss it a lot, things at other jobs have not been the same.

I worked at southwestern Bell in this grand old building. It was very nice. I miss it. The windows were boarded up during WWII, I am told just in case of an attack. I have many fond memories of this place. We used to park at the Texas/Capitol St. overpass and walk to work. We left our cars there all day and no one touched them. This was back in the 70's. We'd all go to La Siberia restaurant next door and have margaritas for lunch, and no one ever mentioned it.
