Good Afternoon All,
hope your day goes well !

I was out of town and some of my coworkers who do not live in the Heights stated that our neighborhood was in the news again about a Stop the Invasion ? Where exactly or what are they talking about please ?

Thank You

Probably West. I haven't seen it. It was put up by some out of state anti-immigration group.

This will lead you to all things invasive: illegals, american flags vs mexican flags, gay marriage, illegal married gays burning US flags while waving Mexican ones.
Unfortunatly you'll find nothing about chilhood poverty, unemployment, health care or skyrocketing energy prices-you know, all those psuedo moral issues. stoptheinvasion has the real deal on scare tac-I mean the issues.
B)
BTW, in Real News of the Heights, they have finally dug out the old intersection of Studewood/20th/N. Main which means Studewood may be completely open by the fall.

Unfortunately, many people in Houston do not know where the Heights is. I think of all neighborhoods in Houston, ours would be the least likely to support this kind of movement.
Every time you stop a school, you will have to build a jail. What you gain at one end you lose at the other. It's like feeding a dog on his own tail. It won't fatten the dog.

According to the Mexican Minutemen (http://www.myspace.c...exicanMinuteMen) the billboard is about canadians and the porous northern border...

Oh, damn, that's funny. I had tears reading it. Reminded me of 'Mind of Mencia'.

“We want to find out how many illegal Canadians are in the country. No amnesty for them – drybacks should be deported,” he says coldly. But that could be tough. MFA knows that Canadians are deft infiltrators and assimilators. “They look white. They talk white,” he says. “So you have to trick them by making them say different words, like ‘about’ or ‘aluminum.’"

The houstonpress blog has been a source of entertainment for me for about a week now. It quickly moved to the top of my blog list.
