Monopoly is creating an updated board with new properties from several American cities. The city with the most votes gets the coveted Boardwalk space. Plus, the other highest vote get getters get the highest rents too. Let's get those votes up! Choose between the JSC, Kemah Boardwalk, and Musuem District for Houston's featured property.

Vote here.

It may need more voters if Houston's gonna move up...

It's funny, to me, how much this means to you all. It's even funnier the legnths to which you all are willing to go in order to "inflate" the numbers.

Why not want your city on top? I want to see Houston and Dallas represent for Texas.

I just voted today for Houston And Dallas.

Houston has a long way to go to be #1.

Does it have to be #1 to win?

No, the final city ranking determines the spot on the Monopoly board. The top city gets Boardwalk, the last city gets Mediterranean Ave. We just want Houston (and the JSC) to be as close to Boardwalk as possible.

That's the response I'd expect in Dallas, where they are fighting with Cleveland to be the CHEAPEST property on the board.

Dallas is ranked 21 out of 22 cities. Oh the shame.

Maybe if the Dallashits rally they can convince everyone that Texas Stadium is the top tourist attraction in America.

But seriously, who picked out these strange choices of places to vote on. Kemah Boardwalk is cute, but how the hell did it make the list. I would have thought the Houston Galleria or even the empty Astrodome would be more popular in a national pissing contest like this.

I've also voted, but I must tell you all...just as Maricopa County is right up on Harris County in population---Phoenix has come out of nowhere and is right on Houston's tail.

You're right about Phoenix, where the hell did they come from? They're ahead of us now! But the good news, we should pass Philly today and can set our sites on Phoenix and Miami! Here are the results as of 7:52am CST.

Well Phoenix is still pulling away, almost 600 ahead now.. My guess is that there was something on their news, or there is some guy who has too much time, can bypass the security measures on the site, and loves Phoenix.

Well I just e-mailed the three main Houston news stations, so hopefully that little problem can be worked out.

assignments@khou.com

The other two have online e-mail forms.

www.ktrk.com

www.kprc.com

Ok this whole Phoenix thing is pissing me off because the last two days that I have logged in to vote for Houston, it has Phoenix and Nashville greyed out and says that I already voted for them that day, which is not true. This might explain why Phoenix is getting extra votes........

Well, the thing is that one needs to pay attention to isn't the amount of votes a city gets, but the amount of votes a particular attraction gets. Isn't that what determines what is going to be put on the board?

When was the last time anyone here actually played monopoly?

My family usually plays when we're all home for Thanksgiving. We have some friends that have a game night every couple months or so and we played Monopoly there a time or 2 ago...
