mollusk Posted March 31, 2018 Share Posted March 31, 2018 Mercedes has plants at Tuscaloosa and in South Carolina, BMW's biggest plant in the world is just outside Spartanburg, and VW builds Passats in Chattanooga. They're rolling with what they know, since Mercedes, BMW, and Porsche are all headquartered in deep Southern Germany. Of course VW had to be different and head north to Wolfsburg.
