_nataliepw
Anyone know if the construction staging area across from Weights & Measures in Midtown is a staging area for the Caroline St renovations, or a new development in of itself? I also heard it could be a staging area for the new Syn Group development down the street at 2403 Caroline which appears to be quite delayed (originally planned to open Fall 2017, haven't seen construction start yet but TABC sign up). The lot was on Loop Net after the Syn Group announcement and has since sold. There is also significant construction in the same lot as Noveau Antique Art Bar, next to the new Caydon high rise site. Possibly another bar/retail/restaurant?

Possibly another bar/retail/restaurant? That's the staging Caroline Street reconstruction. It should be kicking off soon. They've even put "road work ahead" signs on either side of Caroline in some places.

hindesky
I saw this last weekend too, If I'm not mistaken it had "Abrams" signage on the fence and I think they are a road construction company. http://www.jdabrams.com/
_nataliepw
Talked to the bar tender at Noveau Antique Art Bar, the construction being done right next to them by Trevino Construction is apparently for a new medical office building

mattyt36
Along this line, I suppose the Dennis-Albany-Helena-Drew block is staging for the Pearl-Whole Foods development?
Diaspora
The set up across from W&M is for the Caroline Street reconstruction which should begin in 6-8 weeks pending Center Point discussions. The property bordering Anita and Fannin will hold a two story medical clinic.

It will really help develop this side of Midtown.
Diaspora
The center of gravity in Midtown should shift eastward in the next 18 to 24 months, not only with the Caroline Street project, but the Caydon development, Surge Homes on Crawford, the ATMA condo project on McGowen, and the Midtown Commons.
