I love the gargoyle watching the sunrise from the roof of the Gotham Lofts. I haven't seen that one before.

I just found this one to day and I really really liked it!

It's nice to see the skyline from an area that isn't cluttered with billboards, feeder roads, and junk business.

oooh i forgot about the view from the south...medical center and downtown (took this one from the now-gone towers motor hotel not too long ago...)

Looking south along Main St. will give you a similar view with Highrises on one side and giant oaks on the other. It makes me think of NYC's central park.

Also, I'd love to see Uptown infill with more mid & high-rises over the next 20 years.

I don't really do architectural photos anymore, but here's a few of my favorites I've taken of downtown Houston. I took these in 2004 and 2005.

I haven't watermarked these pics, so please don't repost without credit If you want some to put in public places, I can provide full resolution ones and the proper attribution info free of charge, but, please ask before you use them.











All taken with my Nikon D70, except for the last, which I took with an old Sony Cybershot.

Many great pics, but I love this one. It shows the strength of the skyline rising above the trees.

I tend to appreciate shots from North and East of Downtown. It's let's you know that there is a little history to Houston and that it has more to it than 12 or so late-20th centure glass structures.
