CrockpotandGravel may have posted something about this but I couldn't find it. Came across this sign at 3229 Navigation for a Mixed Beverage Application.

I haven't seen this until I read Swamplot this evening.

What’s happening at the corner of Navigation Blvd. and Engelke in the East End? A mix of alcohol and demolition: Mixed beverage, late-night, and beverage cartage permits were issued by the TABC last month to a yet-to-be-opened establishment named Straylight in the 20,878-sq.-ft. metal warehouse building with the brick front at 3229 Navigation Blvd. This spot is 4 blocks down the street from Ninfa’s, just past where Navigation starts to curve east toward Buffalo Bayou.

The TABC permit notice, posted in May, indicates the name of the business. The name of the company behind Straylight is listed as Time Infinity LLC on the sign, but as Times Infinity LLC in TABC records.

As for what Straylight at 3229 Navigation will be, the name itself should have been a big clue: a virtual reality bar.

I searched Google and came upon a logo designed for Straylight and from the logo, the name is Straylight Run.  From the website:

Piece of a direction for a branding set presented to a new VR Bar in Houston, TX.

There is also an Instagram for Straylight Run, the virtual reality bar opening soon at 3229 Navigation Blvd

The bio reads:

Straylight Run HTX Houston's VR Bar - coming soon -

The Facebook page is hidden for now

And there's a website:

Giving away my geeky side here, but the reference "Straylight Run" is from the book Neuromancer (William Gibson), which was where the term cyberspace was coined.

If they keep with the books theme of a dystopian future, you can probably expect something that reminds you of Blade Runner when you go inside.

Anyway, pretty good book, very quick read.
