readingdq
Anyone know where I can get a copy of the deed restrictions for Lawndale Estates? We've tried getting in contact with the East Lawndale Civic Association by calling 713-923-8348 and leaving a voicemail. I've also sent them a message on their FB page. I've yet to receive a response. I'm interested in building a fence, due to the continued burglaries of homes AND packages in the mailboxes. Plus, I live on a corner lot and people love revving their engines and speeding through my street. Most of my surrounding neighbors have fences to protect them. Before I start construction, I want to speak to them to see if I need approval. Harris County only has a record from 1940-1965. Is that the most accurate? ew2003
You can get a copy at 201 Caroline. I tried to request via phone before, but they told me I needed to come in. http://www.houstontx.gov/legal/dr-faq.html "For most people living in the City of Houston, their property is located in Harris County. Please contact the Harris County Clerk’s Office at 713.755.6405 to request a copy. If you wish, a copy may be obtained in person at the Harris County Clerk’s Office located downtown in the Harris County Civil Courthouse, 201 Caroline, 3rd Floor, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m." This might help too: https://edocs.publicworks.houstontx.gov/documents/divisions/planning/hpc/fences.pdf
