Did a little searching and found that SummitPath Partners LLC (owners of this lot) also own the lot north of it including the section with the commercial building.  Would be great both were redeveloped with something good for the neighborhood.

Is that not the location of the storage building mentioned here: http://www.houstonarchitecture.com/haif/topic/33130-storage-building-1200-block-of-shepherd/

I stand corrected.  The source i reviewed apparently was not updated, SHEPHERD STORAGE LP apparently owns that parcel now, which would fall in line with the signage for storage units.  I am glad that it will be redeveloped, has long been a "hang out".

They did a nice job finishing out this space and the prices are not bad. The service model could use an overhaul. Servers are overwhelmed and it just slows things down.(they are so slow it prevented me from ordering more bc I just didn't have another 20 minutes to wait for a beer) Self serve a la Panera would be so much more efficient.

The owners of FM Kitchen & Bar just off the Washington Corridor, announced they are constructing a new outdoor patio and sports bar with four pickleball courts. PKL Social, 1102 Shepherd, will be located next to FM Kitchen and expected to open this fall.

In addition to picklebar courts, the venue will offer TV screens, yard games and cabanas spread out over 10,000-square-feet of patio space. PKL Social will offer cocktails such as PKL Cherry Limeade, beer, and a menu of FM Kitchen’s most popular dishes such as the FM Burger, spicy fried chicken sandwich, chicken wings, and tacos.

Yep! This was shared a month ago. It's in the thread for Shepnett Square, the block or development consisting of FM Kitchen:

On a related note (can’t find proper thread) I believe the FM Kitchen location on Westheimer in Montrose has closed. Their website no longer mentions this location and when I drove by it was closed with a sign on the door.

I love me some FM Kitchen but after 2 visits to the Westheimer spot - I can see why it closed. Really lousy parking and that building could not handle summer heat or even spring for that matter,.. SO insanely hot.

Wow this was from 2016. I can't even recognize this area anymore.... almost every single block here has changed. Miss the ole Urban Bicycle gallery there before they went into lux bikes with the new owner.
