elecpharm
With the recent upsurge in residential housing and interest in all things downtown, this Target concept is exactly the type of development Downtown Houston needs. Target Corp.’s old game plan of opening suburban big box stores is fading away. The Minneapolis retailer is planning to open at least 11 stores in 2016, and nearly all of them will be small stores in dense urban areas. http://www.bizjournals.com/twincities/news/2015/12/23/target-s-2016-store-plan-urban-urban-and-more.html
UtterlyUrban
"Dense urban areas", sadly, does not yet describe downtown Houston. But, I would love for target to come and give it a whirl!
Hastings
Other major cities have done this sort of thing with success. We need to emulate what they did as much as we can. Houston can do this.
