IronTiger
It shouldn't be, the biggest risk is someone trying to shoot it down. Construction zones are generally gated off for public safety and not-wanting-materials-stolen reasons. They're not top secret government facilities.
SpaceGhost
This thing is looking much smaller than initial renderings made it look. Two major complaints would be the tiny lazy river, and tiny parking lot! So far it's not looking worth $45/day..
Urbannizer
Typhoon Texas Water Park is Slated to Open at Katy Mills in May The 25-acre water park is scheduled to open May 27, General Manager Evan Barnett said. The water park will be open every day of the week from June 3 until Labor Day weekend. It will be closed during winter months.“The big elements you have are a wave pool and the ‘lazy river,’” Barnett said. “There will be two main food concession outlets and three smaller concession areas.” Barnett said the cuisine offered will be a mix of traditional American fare, barbecue, pizza and sweet treats. The water park will not serve alcohol this year, however, Barnett said the company is applying for a liquor license in the future. The water park sits on a 43-acre site at Katy Mills Circle and Star Lane. The water park is slated for 25 acres; the remaining 18 acres will be vacant in 2016, Barnett said. There are plans for possible development of those 18 acres in 2017, including expanding the water park or adding retail shops, restaurants or other businesses. The water park will have towers equipped with colorful tube slides and areas to relax and sunbathe. The park will also be available for private parties. SpaceGhost
Typhoon Texas Water Park is Slated to Open at Katy Mills in May Something tells me they're much more likely to sell off the land, rather than expand the park. The ticket price is already very high for a park of that size. The only thing they've got over Schliterbahn at this point is convenience. What's the draw to expand if you can't raise your price to justify it...

If there is demand, yet the park is at capacity and lines become long and crowds are too large it will turn people off.

While this is very much true, I would think that the company bought the land with the intent to sell. Maybe build a hotel/motel there, something along those lines. jgriff
Wow. This guy consistently flies his drone into construction sites across Houston. The updates are neat, but when is he going to get arrested?I think he's a professional that is hired to do this. His website seems to indicate that. 1 1

Hopefully.. if not, some of those flights, especially the ones downtown flying over cranes and stuff seem pretty sketchy.
