Just make sure to get REALLY comfortable with controlling it.  The last thing you want to do is get turned around and accidentally fly it into the side of a building and watch helplessly as your shiny new quad copter falls from hundreds of feet to the ground.  Not to mention what could happen to anyone on the ground.

Sorry I'm late getting this up but here is the drone footage I took while I was downtown:

Pretty windy huh? I tried flying a small baby one and broke it instantly.

Do you start filming, let the quad go up, and just edit it later? If not, do you use the remote or the app on your phone to control when to start/stop and view what the camera is seeing?

Yeah it was a little windy, but it's really only bad when descending.  That's when it has the hardest time remaining level.  I only have a GoPro mounted to it so I start filming right before taking off and then edit the video later.  I don't have the ability to get a live feed or anything like that.  When I upgrade to a higher class quad I will definitely be doing that though.  It would make flying it and getting good shots sooooo much easier.

PS - If anyone happens to have a nice high rise balcony I'm willing to barter some beer or something for a chance to take my tripod up there :)  I want to get some nice higher perspectives!

Got to visit my buddy who just moved into an apartment in Skyhouse River Oaks tonight.  Thought you all might appreciate the view!  Very nice building by the way.

Had to post the scaled down size :(   I promise it's meant to be viewed in all of it's glory (16451 x 3644)
