RedScare
Went to Corner Bakery for lunch yesterday at 11:15.They were out of bread.I doubt I'll ever go back.A bakery out of bread...interesting concept.
MidtownCoog
Their location is awesome, though.
hokieone
It is a good location, good outdoor seating, and also tunnel access as well. Too bad the actual place is overpriced and I don't think they have that much on their menu. I never have liked it as a chain, but still have to admit I'm glad to see it in downtown. They did a good job with picking their location and making the restaurant fit into the street level.
ToolMan
I see some construction going on at the old Logans's spot just across the street from The Flying Saucer. Does anyonw know what's going on over there?

MidtownCoog
We are underserved down here for lunch IMHO.Rent must be a killer, and keeps out more startups.
ToolMan
It is between Slainte and Little Napoli just off Main & Texas. Much better than Subway in my opinion. They have a pepper bar!!!
bkjones98
There is also a Quiznos and a Starbucks going in at a previously unused building at West Gray and Milam (I think that is the street). It looks like they are removing the walls at one end and leaving the steel frame so as to have a patio. It pains me to say this but, finally there is a Starbucks near me. At least, besides the one in the Randalls.
Talbot
Pretty cool, it's nice to see some stores moving into downtown. On street level.
MidtownCoog
Finally tried this place today.Turkery Burger and Onion Rings. Pretty good, but like you said, a litte steep at $8.65.The garlic ketchup is cool.

hokieone
Beck's in the tunnels is about $11 for fries, a burger and a drink. The Mesquite place on Milam is one of the better values in my opinion.
MidtownCoog
Big city prices.Makes my $12US lunch at Pret in London seem pretty reasonable now that I think about it.

WesternGulf
I rather not pay close to $9 for a Turkey Burger and Onion Rings. I rather pig out @ Prince's. Edited November 9, 2005 by WesternGulf
