Triton
Right at the southwest corner of Dallas St. and I-45, a 178 unit multi-family complex is proposed. Looks like the next parking lot will be leaving from there after the Broadstone project next door. Name: The Drake Downtown Address: W Dallas St at Heiner St, Houston, TX 77019 Units: 178 Management Company: Gross Mgmt You'll have to do some searching for the project but look west of downtown: http://blog.chron.com/primeproperty/2014/08/multifamily-construction-projects-spread-over-houston-region/#26279101=6 Location: https://www.google.com/maps/place/W+Dallas+St+%26+Heiner+St,+Houston,+TX+77002/@29.7577651,-95.3751744,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x8640bf4704284d2b:0xc25b41122841fcc9 Can anyone else find more info on this?
houstontexasjack
Good eyes Triton! This looks similar in scope to the Jefferson Heights project a bit north on Memorial.
Avossos
It was only a mater of time before this lot was developed. I hope it's tall enough to block the view of the Allen garage.

fkp5
This won't be receiving the downtown incentives, right?
Triton
This won't be receiving the downtown incentives, right? Right. It's right outside the zone: http://www.downtownhouston.org/site_media/uploads/attachments/2014-07-23/Exhibit_A-1_Combined_Program_Area.pdf

Triton
does anyone harbor any renderings of this prospective? when was this development THE DRAKE officially announced? It was announced now. lol The data is a month old so it's still relevant. And as theNiche pointed out correctly on Swamplot, the data comes from Apartment Data Services which is unfortunately not available to the public. Nate99
I parked in this lot and the one next to it nearly 15 years ago. At the time, vehicle burgaries were extremely common there, but it was cheap and I nothing worth stealing in my truck. Stray dogs wandered through regularly too. UtterlyUrban
Right. It's right outside the zone: http://www.downtownhouston.org/site_media/uploads/attachments/2014-07-23/Exhibit_A-1_Combined_Program_Area.pdfDoes anyone know how this numbering scheme came to be? Are the sequences of blocks tied to historical development? They don't follow a strict 1-XXX left to right, east to west, north to outs pattern in all cases and they appear to "jump"..... Annexations? Historical Development ?Help?
Chi-Char-Hou-Dal
UU My guess would be when the Pierce elevated rammed through the hood" (NPI), things changed dramatically. I spend a good amount of time in Shreveport and how the freeways changed entire neighborhoods is crazy. 4-5 block section was probably erased out - sometimes streets/numbers on both sides change as well. sorry - reread your post - thought you meant the 3 blocks that the APTS are going on: Never Mind.
