Kingwood Town Center

The Woodlands Mall is in The Woodlands Town Center. Market Street alone is not The Woodlands Town Center. Kingwood's planned "Town Center" is a 600k square foot mixed use shopping/office center that will have zero affect on Deerbrook Mall in Humble. As a comparison, one office building in The Woodlands Town Center is 550k square feet.

I don't think it will have much effect on the mall, those town center type of developments and malls usually have different type of stores.

There's actually a fair amount of overlap of stores in many cases, but given the planned population growth in the area, there shouldn't be any problem.

I think the Grand Parkway completion will have a larger impact on Deerbrook Mall than this town center will. Getting from Kingwood to the Woodlands is not as quick as it looks like it should be on the map. Adding that east/west artery will make it easier to get to a mall that is much nicer than Deerbrook.

A bit more about this project here, two small office towers are also possible:

Yay, I've been wondering where the site was at, got my answer. This location is great, it will compliment the new 5 story office about 100 ft away from there. I am in love with office design.

As have I. Interesting that they have a Safeway indicated in the Gold's Gym shopping center on Northpark. I wonder if that is an error from days past when there was once a grocery store there. We moved to KW in 2004 and IIRC, it was vacant at that point before Gold's moved in.

I think that is a SafeWay Driving Center. Someone must have mistaken it for a Safeway supermarket since it has their logo.

The Kingwood Parc City Center is located along Highway 59 near the Hilton Homewood Suites Hotel. The new $100 million, 600,000 square-feet development will feature retail shops, restaurants and living space for families in the area.

Jefco Development Corp. and Crestwood Realty Group have plans to break ground in the spring of 2014 and officially open the center fall of 2015.

The Kingwood Parc City Center will not be a big box retail center like many others throughout the community but instead feature soft goods stores that sell more individualized items such as kitchen goods and clothing.

Since the project is still in its infancy, the developers have not named any of the businesses who are slated to come to the Kingwood Parc City Center.
