HTOWN LIVE
Yeah but it's reflecting the west side of downtown when it is facing the south side of downtown/looking north.Agreed, the rendering is basically putting emphasis on the building's potentially fabulous views of downtown and the TMC as it rises between them. cloud713
Yeah.. They just chose to use the "signature" side of the skyline that won't ever be able to be seen from those views. Doh

fernz
It's actually better than in most houses. These buildings have much better insulation, plus you don't get solar heat from the roof.

When I was in my condo - I never turned the heat on in the winters and barely used the air conditioning....you are very well insulated... toxtethogrady
This is a nice looking building. I hope they build one of these near Minute Maid Park.I hope they build a half dozen of them over there. Sadly, I think they're mostly going to be 5-7 stories. H-Town Man
This building looks like the Whitco and the Sovereign mated and gave birth to this crap. Zero imagination. I think there's a sort of "Emperor's New Clothes" phenomenon here. I don't think people would profess to like this building nearly as much if it wasn't by Hines. The name behind it convinces us that we must be seeing high quality. Your post #72 nailed it pretty well.
