citykid09
Hopefully it will be a urban station like Hot 97.1 was. or mabe a mix of old school and todays hot music like magic 102.1 but they own that station also.
DaTrain
Sad to say, it is not going to be another Urban station. It is KROI 92.1 FM, a Hot AC station now. Could bring on serious competition against Clear Channel station KHMX Mix 96.5. Charlotte divison of Radio One picked up another FM station to add to their only station, WQNC Q92.7. While most of Radio One's stations are Urban formatted, markets such as Philadelphia, PA, Louisville, KY and Dayton, OH have non-urban formatted stations owned by Radio One. These used to be owned by Blue Chip Broadcasting around those areas before Radio One bought them out. Check the stations portfolio on http://www.radio-one.com. Subdude
Just my 2c, but it's a little embarrassing that a city the size of Houston is going to be left with only one classical station.
citykid09
I thought it has since changed to a Spanish Hits station?
