PAC
The glass breaks like a car windshield. It just shatters into a 1000 pieces but stays put until you remove it.

Unless the entire pane falls out of the window frame. Did that happen here?

The glass also can be removed from the inside, which often happens when buildout is going on in order to facilitate fresh air ventilation. Generally there's a plywood plug with a few fans. The gulp factor from inside is huge for those of us who start getting a bit unsettled with several floors of glass railed escalators. Still, it does look freaky at first glance. ChannelTwoNews
From the past few days. Was surprised to see how many people were taking their family photos outside of the building so that they could have the lobby Christmas trees as their backdrop.

ChannelTwoNews
https://www.bizjournals.com/houston/news/2018/05/23/exclusive-goldman-sachs-to-relocate-into-new.html Quote Exclusive: Goldman Sachs to relocate into new downtown Houston tower By Cara Smith – Reporter, Houston Business Journal May 23, 2018, 2:44pm CDT New York-based Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) is the latest in a wave of financial services companies to relocate to 609 Main in downtown Houston. The company will vacate its roughly 50,000-square-foot space in 1000 Louisiana and move into 609 Main at the end of the year, per CBRE's Dave Hanusa. Hanusa, along with Marilyn Guion, represent 1000 Louisiana's landlord. Upon its departure, Goldman Sachs' space will be available for direct lease. The company will be occupying slightly less space in 609 Main. A building permit filed for Goldman Sachs' space on the second floor lists the cost of buildout at $1.2 million. The company will be relocating around 100 employees into the building. The permit lists Goldman's space as suite 200.

Avossos
I can understand splitting this topic so we can continue commenting on it, however - this thread has alot of 'going up' material in it and probably shouldnt be completely moved in whole to the Downtown forum. I do have a few ND filters but they are for video to help slow the frame rate down (make the footage smoother). All photo edits are done through Lightroom and Photoshop.

urbanize713
Articles mentions space is 3,600 sq ft. That is the approx size of the spot next to the coffee shop along Fannin.
CREguy13
So I'm not 100%, but I believe it is going at Main/Texas and there is another concept that will be joining Mendocino on that corner.
Nole23
From the Hines article: https://www.hines.com/news/mendocino-farms-sandwich-market-slated-to-open-at-609-main-at-texas "Located on the corner of Main and Texas streets, the concept will serve its popular menu of responsibly raised meats atop salads and in sandwiches, including vegan and gluten-free options, along with a variety of craft beverages. Mendocino Farms is slated to open in the Fall of 2019 and will be its third location in the Houston market, following Rice Village and Uptown Park which are slated to open Summer of 2019. In a different manner, I think people would ok if you corrected them that you had posted that info before. I don't know, just my 2 cents. 17
BeerNut
I still wish the crown lighting was bolder. Based on my observations it's just a large atrium with lights pointed towards the ceiling.
