HoustonIsHome
Hmmmm, right now the building going up looks kinda different from the rendering
Buy-U-City
Your right, though the construction photos to date unfortunately appear to match these latest rendering.Somewhere along the way the design was changed from the initial renderings presented a year ago or so to this bland stuff. You know, most folks wouldn't understand swapping a good design for cheap boring vanilla at the last minute, but we get it..., it's just a Houston thang, it's who we are, it's what we do. LarryDierker
The best thing about this rendering is that apparently someone left the lights on in the Days Inn.
jackie21love
The first thought come to me is we need another boom to fill all these parking lots!
LarryDierker
The first thought come to me is we need another boom to fill all these parking lots! to be fair, three of these lots are already going up and a few more have timelines to break ground soon. several are actually likely.
HoustonIsHome
to be fair, three of these lots are already going up and a few more have timelines to break ground soon. several are actually likely.Yes you are right. It doesn't show block 334 going up or skyhouse main, or the Leon development starting up. Plus hopefully the one across the street from the downtown transit center goes up Edited April 19, 2015 by HoustonIsHome
cloud713
It doesn't even show SkyHouse Houston.. Here's a shot from the 288N to i69S flyover.. Please forgive the crappyness. It's supposed to show the scale amongst the skyline. To the right of Houston House.

cloud713
Speaking of lighting, have 600 Travis' lights been on recently? I noticed them from uptown the other evening when I was checking out Wells going all crazy red and white.

cloud713
oh some of the lights on 600 Travis are red? hard to tell from uptown.. when are they going to get with the times and upgrade to LED lighting? they could coordinate their lighting with Wells Fargo so they display opposite colors, or fade through the color spectrum backwards or something.

monarch
^^^ the edifice is looking great nate99! this development should be topping out pretty soon right?
urbanize713
Just counted floors and looks like this one is done rising. The coumns rising appear to be for decorative effect. If you compare the pic to the rendering the top floor does not extend out in the corner like the rest.

cloud713
the top 2 rows (first picture) of glass definitely look clearer than the glass below (just as the renderings indicated would happen on the office floors) Edited May 4, 2015 by cloud713
