Alec
A truckload of glass was delivered this morning. It's hard to believe they're ready to hang it, but I wouldn't have thought they'd be up to 10 floors in less than 5 months, either.

Jax
Here's a larger photo of the full rendering. I like the new top rendering better. I think the blue coloring looks better than exposed concrete.
nativehoustonion
Urbannizer you are fantastic! Houston is going to look different in two years. I really feel we will past Chicago in population. They are really concerned about it.
nativehoustonion
Nice picture that wants to make you live there. I live in the Upper Kirby District I can see 2727 Kirby from my window. I was told the top floor was $14,000,000!
livincinco
Urbannizer you are fantastic! Houston is going to look different in two years. I really feel we will past Chicago in population. They are really concerned about it. The only way that Houston passes Chicago in population anytime in the near future is if CoH does a big annexation. There's currently about 500k more people in the city of Chicago.

cloud713
Agreed, houston will be the 3rd largest city in the us within the next couple censuses at the rate both cities have been going.

xsatyr
I couldn't care less if we pass Chicago because it's an unfair advantage considering the size of Houston. It's a shallow victory with little meaning. I just want to see residential projects like this continue to develop so we can actually have a real urban core. livincinco
I agree. This really doesn't mean anything. Chicago still has over 3 million people more than Houston in the metro.

Of course it means something. It's silly to pretend it doesn't. Further, Chicago won't have 3 million more people than Houston metro in 20 years, which is what we're talking about. The Chicago metro area is barely growing (roughly 3/10ths of one percent per year. Houston metro is growing at about 2.1% per year (7 times the pace). At these rates, Houston metro will be 9.5 Million in 20 years and Chicago will be about 10.1 Million, a difference of only 600,000. cloud713
we dont know the official height yet but probably ~20' shorter than HH, going by the height of other skyhouses.

j_cuevas713
Whats the name of that small building in the middle. I know they're lofts but I forgot their name. They seem to have done well these past few years, even though the south side of downtown doesn't have much going on around it.
