The title of the thread pretty much says it all.

Jason and Willowisp are the same person. He's a board member of Houston Mod and restored a 1955 house by architect William R. Jenkins.

Oh. I get it.

Speaking of house porn, I was cleaning this weekend and found a 1958 Better Homes & Gardens "Decorating Book". It's a loose leaf notebook sort of thing with loads of pictures of late 50s interior decorating ideas. Oh, the wall ovens...

Yeah, I went out to look for it in book stores. No luck.

Congratulations Jason! I appreciate how you always share credit with your realtor, contractor, designers, and Houston MOD.
It is a great article in the number one National publication dedicated to Atomic Homes. The before and after photos are awesome.
You and your wife did a great job restoring your house and I admire and respect what you have accomplished.

I think Issues on Shepherd usually has a few copies.
But you may want to call first as those of us with subscriptions may get ours earlier than the stores.

Went by Issues at lunch today, he's still got the previous Atomic Ranch on the shelf. Says he should probably get the new one by this time next week. Great store by the way for anyone who's never been there.

Thanks a lot everyone! It's a real honor to be included in Atomic Ranch. It's hard to imagine something much more exciting than that for the house. Plus now Jake will probably become a world famous dog. He's already demanding longer walks.

I'm planning on scanning it into a pdf but haven't gotten around to it, and I'm sure Jim and Michelle would rather everyone subscribe as that's the way they make their living...

Seeing the article has gotten me excited and refocused on getting deeper into the Jenkins "ouvre", so expect to see quite a bit more regarding Jenkins in 2009.

As for credit, yes, I have to give credit where it's due (it's great to see this forum mentioned as well as lottaliving) and one person not mentioned in the article was BenH who did a lot of post production for Jill on the photos...

"Seeing the article has gotten me excited and refocused on getting deeper into the Jenkins "ouvre", so expect to see quite a bit more regarding Jenkins in 2009."

This is a thinly veiled "wink, wink, nudge, nudge" from Houston Mod.

Got my issue! My subscription had just ended after the last issue, so I had to go to Issues to get mine.

I literally had them take it out of the box since they were unloading a shipment!

Great article, and I'm glad to see the exposure and credits. Great photos as well.

By the way, that's just the first page of the article. There's more to it...

Welcome to the board, Hurley. I've got a feeling you have hours of reading past posts in your future if you want to find all of Houston Mod's architectural gems.

It's great to see hard work and vision recognized - nationally, no less!

The yard looks pretty great, too!

Congrats!
